T9 Trace

T9 Trace is built into the Samsung keyboard. This method allows you to enter a word by sliding
your finger from letter to letter and lifting it between words. T9 Trace uses error correcting
algorithms and a language model to predict the next word and includes a touch predictive text
system.
Enabling T9 Trace
When T9 Trace is enabled, the onscreen keyboard can be used to enter text by tapping or
swiping across the onscreen keys.

Touch the check mark to the right of T9 Trace to enable T9 Trace text entry.

Swype

Swype™ is a text input method that allows you to enter a word by sliding your finger or stylus
from letter to letter, lifting your finger between words. Swype uses error correcting algorithms
and a language model to predict the next word. Swype also includes a tapping predictive text
system.

Preferences: Allows you to view and modify the following Swype options:
Vibrate on keypress: Vibrates for your Swype touches.
Sound on keypress: Plays sounds for your Swype touches.
Show helpful tips: Displays helpful information as you Swype.
Auto-spacing: Automatically inserts spaces between words as you complete
them.
Auto-capitalization: Automatically capitalizes the first word of sentences.
Settings
