Problem
No sound.
Incorrect input or output cable
connections.
Speaker connections are not secure.
The HDMI components connected to this
unit do not support the HDCP copy
protection standards.
The HDMI audio output parameter in the
SETUP menu (Function Setup →
1 HDMI → Audio Output) is set to "TV."
No appropriate input source has been
selected.
The volume is turned down or muted.
Signals that this unit cannot reproduce are
being input from a source component,
such as a CD-ROM.
A proper audio decoder is not selected.
No picture.
The video signal output from this unit is
not supported by a monitor connected to
this unit via the HDMI OUT jack.
The VIDEO jack is used to output a
component video signal, or the
COMPONENT VIDEO jacks are used to
output a composite video signal.
Non-standard video signals are input.
An appropriate video input is not selected
on the video monitor.
Cause
Connect the cables properly. If the problem persists,
the cables may be defective.
Secure the connections.
Connect HDMI components that support the HDCP
copy protection standards.
Set the parameter to an item other than "TV."
Select an appropriate input source with the
RINPUT selector (or eInput selection
keys).
Turn up the volume.
Use an input source whose signals are reproducible
on this unit.
Display the OPTION menu and set "Decoder Mode"
to "Auto."
Displays the ADVANCED SETUP menu and select
"VIDEO" in "INIT" to reset the video parameters.
Displays the ADVANCED SETUP menu and set
"MON.CHK" to "YES."
If your video monitor does not support the HDMI
connection, connect it to the COMPONENT VIDEO
jacks and the VIDEO jack and select an appropriate
video input on the monitor.
Connect the monitor to this unit via the
COMPONENT VIDEO jacks or the VIDEO jack.
Select an appropriate video input on the video
monitor.
