Install the software kit:
Run launch.exe from the kit folder.
Insert the CD with the .iso image. Run launch.exe if the installation does not start automatically
(Figure
8).

If you pass the cursor over a menu selection, information about the menu selection appears
on the left side of the screen

Select Install iSCSI software package, accept the default settings, and then reboot the server.
A single-path configuration is created.

4.
Click the Microsoft iSCSI Initiator icon to open the applet.
The iSCSI Initiator Properties window opens.
NOTE:
The terms initiator and host are used interchangeably. The initiator is the host that accesses
the storage system.

Click the Discovery tab
(Figure
10).

6.
In the Target Portals section, click Add.
A dialog box opens.
7.
Enter the MPX200 iSCSI port IP address.
8.
Click OK.

Set up the LUNs using HP Command View EVA
1.
From HP Command View EVA, click the EVA storage system icon to start the iSCSI storage presentation.

2.
Select the Hosts folder.
3.
To create an iSCSI Initiator host, click Add host.
A dialog box opens.
a.
Enter a name for the initiator host in the Name box.
b.
Select iSCSI as the Type.
c.
Select the initiator iSCSI qualified name (IQN) from the iSCSI node name list.
d.
Select an OS from the Operating System list.

Create a virtual disk and present it to the host you created in
Step 3
(see
Figure
12).
Note the number in the target IQN (circled in
Figure
13); you will use it for Initiator login.

Set up the iSCSI disk on the iSCSI Initiator
The steps in this procedure are specific to Windows 2003. Commands that you enter can vary, depending
on your operating system.
1.
Open the iSCSI Initiator applet.
2.
Click the Targets tab
(Figure
14).
The target status is Inactive.

3.
Select the target IQN noted in Section 6
Step
4, and then click Log On.
A dialog box opens.
4.
Configure the target IQN:
a.
Select the Automatically box to restore this connection when the system boots.
b.
Clear the Multipathing box to ensure that multipathing is not enabled.
c.
Click OK.
The target status is Connected when logged in.
5.
Depending on your operating system, open Windows Computer Management or Server Manager.
6.
Select Disk Management.
7.
Select Action > Rescan Disks.
Verify that the newly created virtual disk is listed; if it is not listed, reboot the iSCSI Initiator.
8.
Format and partition the disk.
