The three modes of play include LETTER, STORY and MUSIC. Slide the MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to choose a mode of play. . AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF To preserve the battery life, the VTech Touch & Teach Turtle™ ® will automatically power-down after approximately 30 seconds without input. - Page 6 ACTIVITIES 1. Slide the mode selector switch to choose a mode of play. You will hear a cheerful theme song, random short tunes and some phrases depending on the selected mode. The lights will flash along with the sounds. 2. Turn the book pages to hear magical sounds, giggling sounds or short tunes, as well as some playful phrases.

Press the number buttons to do the following: learn numbers 1 through 8 and hear upbeat short tunes in Letter Mode; hear interesting sound effects in Story Mode; and play melodies in Music Mode. While a melody is playing, press the number buttons again to play the tune one note at a time.
