    INCLUDED IN THIS PACKAGE ® • One VTech Smarty’s Toolbox™ learning toy. (Including a drill, tape measure, and 6 drill bits) • One instruction manual. WARNING: All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, wire ties and tags are not part of this toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.

    BATTERY NOTICE • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. • Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged (if removable). • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (if removable). • Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.

    TO BEGIN PLAY Tape Measure: 1. To begin play, press the ON/OFF BUTTON. You will hear a friendly phrase and an opening tune. “Let’s count!” 2. Press the COUNT BUTTON to play a counting activity. “Measure it up!” 3. Press the MEASURE BUTTON to play a measuring activity.
  • Page 7 Drill: “Lefty Loosey!” 1. Press the HANDLE on the drill to rotate the drill. You will hear a drill sound effect, “Lefty Loosey!”, or “Righty Tighty!” 2. Rotate the SPEED SELECTOR to select one of the three speeds. “Red Hexagon!” 3.

The unit can be turned on again by pressing the HANDLE, attaching a DRILL BIT, rotating the SPEED SELECTOR or pushing the DIRECTION SWITCH. NOTE: Please note to pull out the demo tag.     Smarty’s tummy . AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF ® To preserve battery life, The VTech Smarty’s Toolbox™ will automatically turn off after approximately one minute without input. The tape measure can be turned on again by pressing the ON/OFF BUTTON. The drill can be turned on again by pressing the HANDLE, attaching a DRILL BIT, or pushing the DIRECTION SWITCH.
