External CRUs with latches
These CRUs have a latch to help you to remove and replace the part.
Examples of these types of CRUs include a battery pack, a cover such as
a memory slot cover and a hard disk drive cover.
Lenovo 3000 computers contain the following types of the internal CRUs:
Internal CRUs (located behind an access panel)
These CRUs are isolated parts within the computer that are concealed by
an access panel that is typically secured by either one or two screws.
Once the access panel is removed, only the specific CRU is visible.
Examples of these types of CRUs include a memory card and a hard
disk drive.
Internal CRUs (located within the product itself)
These CRUs are accessible only by opening the outer case of the
computer. Examples of these CRUs include the parts beneath a cover
and they are secured by either one or two screws.
