Connect the supplied charger

Check that your local power supply
corresponds to the specifications of the
charger.

Use the supplied USB cable to connect the
LUXE with the supplied charger.

Connect the AC power plug of the charger
to a suitable power outlet.
The LUXE charges.

Note
•
For first-time use, allow the LUXE to charge for 3
hours.
•
The charging animation stops and the
displayed when the charging process is completed.

Battery level indication

The display indicates the approximate levels of
the battery status as follows:
100% 75% 50%
A flashing battery screen indicates that

the battery is low. The player saves
all settings and switches off within 60
seconds.
Note
•
Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge
cycles. Battery life and number of charge cycles vary by
use and settings.

Manager software

• Pentium III 800 MHz processor or higher
• 128 MB RAM
• 500 MB hard disk space

Connect the mini USB plug of the supplied
cable to the LUXE.

Connect the standard USB plug of the
supplied cable to your computer.
A pop-up window appears on the

From the pop-up window, select Install
Philips Device Manager.

Follow the on-screen instructions to
complete the installation of the Philips
Device Manager.
If the pop-up window fails to appear on the
computer...

/ Windows2000®) / Computer
(WindowsVista®).

Right click on Philips GoGear Luxe.

Select Install Philips Device Manager.

Follow the on-screen instructions to
complete the installation of the Philips
Device Manager.
Can't find the file on the LUXE?

Ensure that your computer is connected to
the Internet.

Select My Computer (WindowsXP®
/ Windows2000®) / Computer
(WindowsVista®).

Right click on Philips GoGear Luxe.

Select Install Philips Device Manager from
the Internet.
