3. Turn on the server and insert the Windows Server 2003 Setup CD into the CD
drive. If you are prompted with the message "Press any key to boot from cd",
press any key.
4. When you are prompted to Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or
RAID driver, press F6. Windows Server 2003 Setup copies the files from the
setup CD. This process takes a few minutes.
5. When you are prompted to manually specify a controller, select S to specify
additional devices.
6. When you are prompted for the manufacture-supplied hardware support diskette,
insert the RAID driver diskette that you created earlier and press Enter.
7. When the device driver name is displayed, select the applicable driver and press
Enter.
8. After the files are copied from the diskette, press Enter. Files are copied from the
setup CD. This process takes several minutes.
9. When you are prompted to install Windows Server 2003, press Enter.
10. When the license agreement is displayed, read the license agreement, and press
F8 to agree.
11. When Windows Server 2003 Setup displays all hard disk storage that is available
on the server, select one of the following options to choose or create a drive
partition in which to install Windows Server 2003:
Allow Setup to create a partition: To partition the entire hard disk as one
o
primary partition, highlight Unpartitioned space for the hard disk drive
on which you want to install Windows Server 2003 and press Enter.
Create a partition: To create a partition, highlight Unpartitioned space for
o
the hard disk drive on which you want to install Windows Server 2003 and
press C. You are prompted to indicate how much available space to
allocate from the unpartitioned drive. Type the amount of space (in MB)
and press Enter.
Delete a partition.

12. When you are prompted to select a file system, select NTFS file system.
Notes:
Setup formats the selected partition and copies the applicable files to the
o
drive partition. This process takes several minutes.
The server restarts to the graphical portion of Setup where Setup continues
o
with the installation of Windows Server 2003. During this process, Setup
automatically installs and configures devices in the server. This process
takes several minutes.
13. Change the regional settings if you are not installing the server in the U.S. Click
Next.
Note: To modify the regional settings after installing Windows Server 2003, click
Control Panel and click Regional Options.
