XNAV9525 GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM Introduction to Your Navigation System As you travel, your navigation system functions as your copilot, providing turn-by-turn visual and voice guidance to direct you to your selected destination. Because the system knows where you are and where you want to go, it can quickly calculate step-by-step directions that provide a route to any destination available on the included navigation map.

XNAV9525 Installation - Main Unit Before You Start • Disconnect negative battery terminal. Consult a qualified technician for instructions. • Avoid installing the main unit where it would be subject to high temperatures, such as from direct sunlight, or where it would be subject to dust, dirt or excessive vibration.
• Once the antenna is mounted, carefully plan the cable route to the XNAV9525. Be careful not to pinch or twist the antenna cable. Use a grommet when running wires through any metal openings.

Wiring Diagram - Stand Alone Operation Wiring Notes When using the XNAV9525 in stand alone mode, the 13 pin Interface Cable is NOT used. The following connections are required: • 4 pin power/speaker connector - *confirmation speaker not required when using the audio outputs (RCA connections).

XDV8125 owner’s manual included with the XDV8125. The voice guidance and MP3 audio is routed to the left front channel of the XDV8125 by default. When an XNAV9525 voice command is executed, the XDV8125 audio is muted to allow the voice command to be heard by the driver.

XNAV9525 GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM Start Up Power On/Off Press PWR on the XNAV9525 remote control to power up the XNAV9525 and display the loading screen. Loading Screen After the system boots, the following warning is displayed. Warning Screen Press ENTER to accept the warning and to display the map.

Display Setup From the System Menu, select “Display Setup” to adjust the display screen position. If the XNAV9525 is used in combination with external monitor, the display screen may not be centered. This symptom is not abnormal and it varies with individual monitor characteristics.

XNAV9525 Data Manager - Create Folders Create New Folders New folders can be created to manage and organize MP3 files. For optimum performance, it is only recommended to add new folders to the Hard Disk3 partition of the hard drive.

From the map screen press MENU, then select Setup to adjust navigation preferences, display options, and units (km or mi) settings.

XNAV9525 GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM System Setup - Preferences Menu Simulation On/Off When selected, the GPS icon will be replaced with a DEMO icon and allow the system to “drive” the selected route even though the vehicle is not moving. This can be used to preview a route without leaving your driveway.

XNAV9525 System Setup - Display Options Display Options Menu North Up/Heading Up Note GPS Icon Display On/Off GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM Display options allow you to set the map orientation and the information displayed on the map. Determines if the map is always displayed with North direction at the top of the screen or if map is always adjusted so that vehicle symbol points toward the top of the screen.
