Add an IMAP Incoming Email Server
You can add an incoming email server that communicates using IMAP.
Procedure
1
In the Request Manager Admin Portal, open System Administration > System > Email Settings.

Click the Add button below the Incoming Email Servers section.

Select IMAP.

Specify the email server options.
Option

Port Number
User ID
Password
Active
Use SSL
Automatically select Authentication
Method
Deleted Items Folder
Ignore Mail Server Report Messages
Ignore On Blank Return Path
Call Template
Default Logging Officer
Use Linked Officer
Make sure no other check boxes are selected.

Click Save.

Add a POP3 Incoming Email Server
You can add an incoming email server that communicates using POP3
Procedure
1
In the Request Manager Admin Portal, open System Administration > System > Email Settings.

Click the Add button below the Incoming Email Servers section.

Select POP3.

Action
Enter the address used to connect to the IMAP server.
Enter 143.
Enter the user name to connect to the mail server. Make sure that the account
is set up on the mail server. Otherwise, Request Manager will not receive any
incoming email.
Enter the password to connect to the mail server.
Select the check box. If you do not select it, Request Manager will not poll
the system for incoming email.
Select this check box to specify that communications with the mail server
should be over SSL.
Select this check box.
Enter Deleted Items.
Select this check box.
Select this check box.
Select Default.
This text box should specify System Admin. If it does not, use the Person
Search window to locate and enter System Admin.
Select this check box.
