  • Page 6 USINg THE RECHARgEAbLE LITHIUM ION bATTERY The raptor uses an 1800 mah, 3.7 Volt DC, rechargeable lithium-ion battery. When fully charged, this battery will power the radio for about 30 hours at low volume. When you purchase the raptor it may have enough charge to play the radio for a short period of time.

    TUNINg IN STATIONS The raptor plays aM (520-1710 KHz), FM (87.5-108 MHz) and 7 nOaa Weather Channels. FM band: AM band: Weather band: Turn the radio on. select aM, FM or WB with the M button, directly below the display. When listening to FM and Weather channels, pull up the telescopic antenna all the way.

    ACTIVATINg THE NOAA WEATHER ALERT fEATURE The weather alert feature allows the nOaa Weather service and other governmental agencies to send emergency alerts. Tune to your strongest weather channel (you may only receive one channel). Press and release the MeM button. note that the radio goes silent, but it’s still on, constantly monitoring the weather frequency.
  • Page 9 TO DELETE A MEMORY simply program a new station into that memory. CHARgINg CELL PHONES The raptor provides 5Volts DC out put at 500 ma for cell phone charging from the UsB socket on the unit. With the raptor on or off, plug in your cell phone and press and hold the button labeled Cell until Cell will appear on the left center of the display.
  • Page 10 TM (Clock): When you’ve switched to TM, you may see T1 or T2 above the T in TM. Press the M button for 3 seconds to switch from one to the other. These are the 2 clocks that can be set. You can set one for your time zone and the other for another time zone.
  • Page 11 T1 MEMORY CP (Digital Compass) The altimeter is shown in feet or meters in the lower right corner of the display. Press Cal for three seconds to enter the setting mode. Cal then displays in the upper right of the display. Turn the raptor twice slowly, about 15s/turn to check the current position.
  • Page 12 ICON CONDITION REMARkS rainy Barometric pressure is low or getting low, implies it is raining or going to rain. sunny High barometric pressure, indicates good weather. Cloudy low barometric pressure, indicates possibilities of rains. Partly Cloudy Barometric pressure is getting lower or higher, indicates unstable weather.
  • Page 13 AL (Alarm): Use a 3 second press of the M button to select alarm 1 or alarm 2. Use a 3 second press of Cal to get the hour to blink. set the hour with the but- tons. a quick, short press of M makes the minutes blink. set the minutes with the buttons.

    UTILIZACIÓN DE LA PILA RECARgAbLE DE IÓN DE LITIO su raptor utiliza una pila recargable de ión de litio de 3,7 VCC, 1.800 mah. Cuando está totalmente cargada, esta pila permitirá utilizar la radio durante 30 horas a un volumen reducido. Tras adquirir su raptor, es posible que la pila tenga suficiente carga como para poder utilizar la radio durante un periodo relativamente corto.
