Installation of parts
Incorrect installation of parts may damage the wheelset.
To install a track cog
Only install a track cog on the side of the hub with lockring
threads (Figure 2). If necessary, remove the thread cover and
install the cover on the other side of the hub.
1. Make sure the threads are clean and free of debris.
2. Apply a light coat of Wrench Force® synthetic grease or a
similar lubricant over the threads.
See your dealer for a recommended grease.
3. Start threads by hand, and install the cog.
4. Tighten the cog.
5. Follow steps 1-4 to install the lockring.
To install a single-speed freewheel
Only install a freewheel on the side of the hub without lockring threads. If
necessary, remove the thread cover and install it on the other side of the hub.

over the threads.
See your dealer for a recommended grease.
3. Start threads by hand, and install the freewheel.
4. Tighten the freewheel.

Maintenance
Once a month, apply a drop of oil between the axle nut and its captive washer
(Figure 3).

Special user information
Carbon fiber rims require special care and maintenance.
Tubular tire installation
When preparing these rims for tubular tire installation, do
not sand the rims. Sanding may remove carbon fiber, which
may weaken the rim and cause it to fail. To clean rims, wipe
them with acetone and a clean soft cloth.
