Installing the WinTV-PVR-USB2 MC-Kit
for Windows Vista Media Center
Installation overview
1. Connect the TV antenna, FM radio antenna (optional) to WinTV-
PVR-USB2. Connect the USB cable to the WinTV-PVRUSB2 and to a
USB port on your PC.
2. Boot your PC. After Windows is running, plug the supplied Power
Supply into WinTV-PVR-USB2's power input to install the driver.
3. Install the Media Center remote control.
4. Begin setting up Media Center.
1. Connect the WinTV-PVR-USB2 cables
Plug your TV antenna into the TV Connector.
Audio and video from an external A/V device (satellite TV receiver,
cable TV box, VCR, camcorder...) can be brought into the WinTV via
the A/V connectors. If your A/V device uses S-Video, connect to the
S-Video input on the WinTV. If your video device uses composite
video instead of S-Video, use the yellow RCA jack. Audio input from
an external A/V device can be brought into the WinTV via the white
and red audio input jacks.
If you would like to use FM radio, plug the supplied Radio aerial into
the FM radio connector. This may not be necessary if your TV aerial
supplies FM, or if you do not want to listen to radio with Media
Center.

2. Install the WinTV Media Center driver
Start your computer and wait for Windows Vista to fully boot. PIug
the supplied Power Supply into the Power Supply input on WinTV-
PVR-USB2. Cancel any 'Found new hardware wizards' you may see.
Insert your WinTV Installation CD-ROM and click on Start then
'Computer', you should then see
the HCW CD under 'Devices with
removeable media', double click
on this CD-ROM then double
click on the file called
'HCWDriverInstall'.
You will then be presented with a
blue screen which will begin
installing and updating the
drivers for your product.
