- Page 5 How the System Works The internal fan pulls air into the air purifier which then passesthrough the pre-filter, where larger airborne particles such as pet hair & dander are trapped. The smaller particles that pass through the pre-filter are then captured the by the true HEPAfilter, which removes up to 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.

Pre-Filter Indicator Light: Your Hunter air purifier is programmed to remind you to replace the pre-filter after 3 months, based on continuous use (approximately 2,160 hours). The indicator is only a guide. Depending on air quality and environmental factors, pre-filter may need to be replaced more regularly.
