1 Function
The ALFA(NET) 71 RTDN is a panel mount thermostat-unit, with real-time day/night week-clock.
The thermostat has also three relays outputs selectable for function cooling, heating or alarm. The
temperature is measured by sensor-1 unless sensor-2 is active as control sensor (P05=1), in this
case the average temperature of both sensors (SM 811 2-wire) is displayed and used for control.
The ALFANET 71 RTDN is provided with an RS-485 network connection allowing to read out and set
this unit on the ALFANET.
2 Installation
On the connection diagram of the ALFA(NET) 71 RTDN is shown how the sensor(s), power supply,
relays, and optional network should be connected. After connecting the ALFA(NET) 71 RTDN to the
power supply, a self-test program is started. As the test is finished the measured temperature
appears in the display.
3 Control
The ALFA(NET) 71 RTDN thermostat can be controlled by four pushbuttons on the front.
These keys are;
SET - view / change the set value and reset alarm.
∏ UP - increase the set value.
π DOWN - decrease the set value.
°C - relay status key.
