- Page 7 Take a moment and watch the video that shows all the features of the tablet. To do this, open the LINK IT app and tap on ‘INFO’. Make sure your volume is turned up and tap on App-101.
- Page 8 Make sure the steering wheel adjustment is fully UP and IN to allow maximum clearance for the driver seat. When installing the LINK with hand controls, hand controls should be installed after the LINK. Remove the driver side OEM seat and place on a workbench. Keep the OEM bolts for reinstallation.

- Page 12 5. Remove the seat pan from the seat base, keep the bolts for reinstallation onto the LINK seat adapter. If the seat pan has the motor for the knee support adjustment option, the motor will have to be removed from the seat pan and the seat will lose this function.
- Page 13 7. Remove the front two brackets that held the seat pan to the seat sub frame, they will be used to install the seat pan onto the LINK seat adapter 8. Unclip, unplug and remove the wiring and control box from the seat base.
- Page 14 9. The wiring harness extension can now be made using the provided multibrand cable. Extend the OEM wire harness with the provided connectors and 18 gauge multi strand extension. For best results, extend one wire at a time. Test continuity of each wire through the extension to avoid errors. (If you wish to keep a record of your wire extensions for reference, you will find a lined sheet at the very end of this manual for that purpose.) The wiring extension will be routed out of the bottom right hand corner of the seat.

- Page 16 10. Remove the lower b pillar trim for modification to allow clearance for the LINK. 11. Run the power from the battery to the LINK. To do this, thread the red power cable (+) under the doorstep molding and through the firewall. Make sure you pass through a grommet in the firewall to prevent the cable from chaffing.
- Page 17 12. The b pillar trim will have to be cut and modified with the provided stencil to allow clearance for the LINK. Modify as per the photos and then re-install. 13. Install the provided door shim SL-UNI-08 this will allow the door to open wider for better access. Use the M8- 1.25X25mm bolt and washer provided.
- Page 18 Install the LINK floor adapter # LK-PAL20L-01. Use the four OEM seat bolts. 15. Remove the LINK from the shipping box and set it on a table or workbench. Connect auxiliary 12V power to the LINK. The LINK will ‘beep’ during the installation. (See LINK Audible Warnings chart for further references.)
- Page 19 17. Place the LINK in the vehicle on the floor adapters. Use the four longer (3/8’’-16 x 1¼’’) socket cap bolts to secure the LINK by the pivot, and use the four shorter (3/8’’-16 x 7/8’’) bolts to secure the interior of the LINK.
- Page 20 19. Install the provided brackets # LK-PAL20L-04 and # LK-PAL20L-05 that hold the seat trim on to the seat adapter using the four provided self-tapping screws. Also, install the OEM brackets that held the front of the seat pan onto the front of the seat adapter.
- Page 21 20. Install the seat pan onto the seat adapter, use the four OEM bolts at the front, and the two OEM shoulder bolts at the back using the provided M6 lock nuts and washer. 21. Install the seat cushion support on to the seat adapter. The rear plastic will have to be cut to fit on the seat adapter.

- Page 23 24. Approach the seat back to the seat base to be able to connect the airbag wire to the wiring extension. Depose the seat cushion onto the seat base. Run the airbag wire in through the hole in the seat cushion fabric flap, and run the seat back connectors out through the hole.
- Page 24 25. Reconnect all the seat back connectors and install the seat back onto the seat adapter using the OEM bolts. Run the connector for the seat switches down the side of the adapter and attach the wire with zip ties leaving enough slack to be able to reconnect. 26.

- Page 26 29. The OEM left hand seat trim will have to be cut and modified with the provided stencils. First, remove the clip at the front of the trim. Then install the stencils and follow the directions on the stencils. 30. Install the modified seat trim onto the seat adapter. Use the provided self tapping screw at the front in the pre drilled hole.
- Page 27 31. Install the replacement seat trim # LK-PAL20LB-07. Attach the wire extension seat trim and fabric flap together with zip ties. Use the provided trim clips at the front to fasten to the OEM trim and use the OEM screws at the back. 32.
- Page 28 33. Because the front knee support, motor has been removed, the mechanism will have to remain fixed. Push it all the way back and attach with zip ties to stop it moving. 34. The right hand side seat trim will have to be cut and modified using the provided stencil. Cut of the indicated part and reinstall.
- Page 29 35. Install the seat onto the LINK using the four 3/8 shoulder bolts and lock nuts provided. Install the control box wire, support bracket # L-LK912 as per the plan in the exploded view on page 5 of 5. 36. Slide the extended wiring under the LINK to be reconnected. The control box and connectors can be hidden under the heater vent outlet.
- Page 30 It is vital that the LINK be exactly at the ‘HOME’ position before moving on to the next step. If the LINK is slightly off its ‘HOME’ position or the starting point of its movements, there is a strong chance that the LINK will not fit through the doorway properly and/or will cause problems with the preset of the LINK.
- Page 31 39. Now that the LINK is in its ‘HOME’ position, RESET the unit by pressing ‘CONFIRM RESET’. A screen will pop up to ask: ‘ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO RESET ZERO POSITION’. Press ‘ACCEPT’. The LINK will emit two (2) audible beeps to confirm ‘RESET’, and will now be in reduced power mode. In pendant mode, run one full cycle to exit reduced power mode.
- Page 32 9 Volt Battery The LINK is designed to run off of the v ehicle’s 12 v olt battery. I t is equipped w ith many safeguards to ensure that the controller box alw ays retains its programing sequence. One of those safeguards is the 9 v olt memory backup battery.
