MT10-HW Installation Guide MT10 Overview The Cisco Meraki MT10 is wireless Bluetooth-enable sensor type product. The MT10 is designed to be deployed primarily in a networking environment (e.g., network closet) alongside Meraki equipment enabling the end-user to receive alerts from the device specific to temperature and humidity.
Wall Mount Hardware Setup The MT10 has multiple options for mounting to a surface. A mounting plate and two screws allowing it to be mounted to a wall using screws. If necessary, two drywall anchors are included to help if the wooden stud cannot be located.
Pre-Install Preparation You should complete the following steps before installing the MT10 in its final location. Configure your MT10 in the Networking using Dashboard The following is a brief overview only of the steps required to add a MT10 to your network. For detailed instructions about creating, configuring, and managing Meraki IoT networks, refer to the online ( https://documentation.meraki.com/MT).
Each MT10 will generate a unique domain name to allow for secured direct streaming functionality. These domain names resolve an A record for the private IP address of the camera. Any public recursive DNS server will resolve this domain. If utilizing an onsite DNS server, please whitelist *.devices.meraki.direct or configure a conditional forwarder so that the local domains are not appended to *.devices.meraki.direct and that these domain requests are forwarded to Google public DNS.
