factory. While the battery is in Ship Mode, it will
not provide power to the computer. Connect your
computer to the supplied AC power adapter before
first use. The battery pack will be activated instantly
when the computer is connected to AC power.

A battery pack other than the one specified by Lenovo, or a disassembled or modified battery pack is not covered by the warranty.
