 Turn the top panel's VOL/PWR knob clockwise to turn on the
radio.
 Turn the top panel's CH selector knob to choose the desired
operating channel.
 Rotate the VOL/PWR knob to set the volume level.
If no signal is present, press (or press and hold in) the [ SIDE ]
key assigned with "SQL OFF" function; background noise
will now be heard and you may use this to set the VOL/PWR
knob for the desired audio level.
 To transmit, press and hold in the PTT switch.
Speak into the microphone area of the front panel grille (lower
right-hand corner) in a normal voice level.
To return to the Receive mode, release the PTT switch.
 Press (or press and hold in) the [ SIDE ] key (or Program-
mable key) to activate the function that corresponds with
that key.
 Turn the top panel's VOL/PWR knob fully counter clockwise
to turn off the radio.

 Gire el mando de VOLUMEN/ENCENDIDO-APAGADO situado en
el panel superior en el sentido de las agujas del reloj para encender
el transceptor.
 Gire el mando de SELECCIÓN DE CANAL situado en el panel su-
perior para seleccionar el canal de funcionamiento deseado.
 Gire el mando de VOLUMEN/ENCENDIDO-APAGADO para esta-
blecer el nivel de audio deseado.
Si no hay señal, pulse (o mantenga pulsada) la tecla LATERAL
asignada a la función "SQL desactivado". De esa forma, escuchará
ruido de fondo, que podrá utilizar para establecer el volumen desea-
do mediante el mando de VOLUMEN/ENCENDIDO-APAGADO.
 Para transmitir, mantenga pulsado el interruptor PTT. Hable a la
zona del micrófono situada en la rejilla del panel frontal (esquina in-
ferior derecha) con un volumen de voz normal. Para volver al modo
de recepción, suelte el interruptor PTT.
 Pulse (o mantenga pulsada) la tecla LATERAL (o la PROGRAMA-
BLE) para activar la función que corresponda a dicha tecla.
 Gire el mando de VOLUMEN/ENCENDIDO-APAGADO situado en
el panel superior en el sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj para
apagar el transceptor.
