    XF-SERIES INSTALLATION 2014–Current Harley-Davidson Touring Models: • Compatible with both standard and Boom! Audio systems. • For models with a factory amplifier, always disconnect the battery before installation to prevent electrical issues. • Use only 2-ohm stable amplifiers if upgrading your system for best performance and to protect your equipment.   • Page 5 • The factory grille can remain, or you may replace it with the supplied NVX metal mesh grille, using the three factory screws on the inside of the fairing. Note: The NVX grille features two holes and one “keyhole” slot. The keyhole should face the radio for proper alignment. Using the factory grille may slightly reduce high-frequency output.
  • Page 6 2014 and newer Harley-Davidson touring models feature an alignment pin inside the front speaker enclosures, intended to fit into a hole in the factory speaker frame. Since NVX XFHD65F speakers do not have this alignment hole, the pin must be carefully removed (by cutting or grinding) to allow the speaker to sit flush in the enclosure.

    • Once connected, set the speaker in place and install the supplied NVX or original grilles. Secure with the four original screws. Note: The factory rubber nutserts can be finicky—start all four screws loosely before tightening them down gradually and evenly.
