NOTE: INSTALL PARTS LOOSELY UNTIL ALL ATTACHMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO VEHICLE
1.
Lower the vehicle exhaust.
2.
Raise the hitch into position and loosely attach (2) 12mm hex bolts into
existing weld nuts in each side frame rail, using a 1/2" conical washer under
the head of each bolt.
3.
Use the hitch as a template to drill the 1/2" forward most hole on the
passenger side frame rail, and enlarge the forward most mounting hole in the
driver's side frame rail with 1/2" drill.
4.
Insert a 1/2-13 x 1-3/4" carriage bolt and block plate into each frame rail
through the access hole just forward of the hitch side plates and down into
the forward most attachment hole drilled in step 3 above. Secure each
carriage bolt with a 1/2-13 heavy hex nut and 1/2" conical washer provided.
5.
Tighten all fasteners to the appropriate torque specifications.
6.
Re-install the vehicle exhaust.
TIGHTEN ALL FASTENERS TO THE TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS SHOWN BELOW
