Important notes

Custom host mode for Solaris x86 hosts
When adding a Solaris x86 host, set the custom host properties as follows:
1.
Start HP Command View EVA and select the Host folder for the appropriate storage system.
2. Click Add host.
3. Add a host:
a.
Select Custom for the host OS.
b. Enter the following value as the custom mode number: 0000012A200008AE.
To change an existing Solaris x86 host to custom mode:
1.
Start HP Command View EVA and select the appropriate Host icon in the Host folder.
2. Click the General tab on the host properties page.
3. Select Custom for the operating system type.
4.
Enter the following value as the custom mode number: 0000012A200008AE .
