➢ MECHANICAL: • Collision, compression of certain parts of the body, especially head and limbs. • Fall or projection of objects. • Dangerous vibrations that may harm the operator, damage the machine and the environment it is installed in. • Clothes accidentally being inserted into moving parts.
Any other use outside of what is agreed upon with the sales office during the definition phase is not recognised by the manufacturer. RISK OF SERIOUS INJURIES! DOSEURO declines any liability in case of personal injury or property damage deriving from the incorrect or improper use of the pump. 4.2 - Intended and unintended pump use The pump must be used for the range of applications for which it is intended.
piston/diaphragm stroke. The reciprocating motion of the dosing pump piston/diaphragm determines the flow thanks to the directional valves located at the pump head's inlet and outlet. The fluid is pumped in the following phases: • Suction phase: During the suction phase, the valve located at discharge closes (sealing the leak) and the valve at suction opens.
Hydraulic parts: Plastic or metal materials based on product compatibility. 4.6 - Dosing pumps SR series They are spring-return dosing pumps with helical gear reducer/worm screw enclosed in a die-cast aluminium gear reducer body. The helical gear is placed on the eccentric shaft supported by ball bearings and lubricated in an oil bath and the worm screw is connected to the electric motor by a joint.
4.6.1 - Piston dosing pumps type SR A SR A pumps are spring return pumps with piston pump head. The SR mechanism is fitted with a pump head support lantern to which the pump head is connected, the piston is connected to the slide by two threaded grub screws. Piston pumps need lip seals, or CHEVRON type gasket packs in this case the pump head is equipped with a press-on ring nut for tightening the seal.
4.6.3 - Type SR B Hydraulic diaphragm dosing pumps SR B pumps are spring return pumps with a single hydraulic diaphragm pump head. A hydraulic diaphragm pump head is mounted to the SR mechanism. There is hydraulic oil between the PTFE hydraulic diaphragm and the piston. In the pressing phase the piston moves the oil pushing the diaphragm forward, in the suction phase the spring allows the return of the piston with the oil allowing the movement of the diaphragm.
4.6.5 - Hydraulic diaphragm dosing pumps type SR SD SR SD pumps are spring return pumps with double hydraulic diaphragm pump head and recirculation valve and diaphragm rupture indicator. A hydraulic diaphragm pump head is mounted to the SR mechanism. There is hydraulic oil between the PTFE hydraulic diaphragm and the piston.
Should this occur, the user must warn the manufacturer of this loss, identifying the pump from the technical documentation provided with the machine or from the administrative documents. Request a new one from the DOSEURO assistance service. 4.7 - Sound vibration The pump is designed and constructed so as to reduce the sound emission level at the source.

5 – TRANSPORT AND STORAGE ATTENTION! Always keep the packaging in a vertical position. This model's pumps are individually packaged; customised packaging can be realised only upon request. As per standard, the customer chooses the carrier; the customer and the carrier will be responsible for transport.
5.3 - Handling for installation RISK OF SERIOUS INJURIES! Before starting pump handling, it is necessary to verify: • Efficiency of lifting equipment and their capacity. • During pump lifting or movement operations, it is necessary to adopt all possible precautions in order to avoid dangerous movements that may cause accidents or damage to persons or property.
7 - CONNECTION OF THE PUMP TO THE SYSTEM PIPES 7.1 - Block removal It is necessary to remove the protective caps, located on the suction and delivery inlets of the valves, before installing the pump If the pump has been out-of-service for a long period, we recommend checking PROTECTIVE that the pump head screws are not loose as well as checking for oil leaks from the seal gaskets, replacing them if necessary, before installation.

7.3 - Discharge pipe connection The correct completion of the discharge pipe path is particularly important for good pump operation. Fixing must also be thorough, especially when the pipe is subjected to strong pressure. For this reason, we will list some recommendations that the installer should comply with in order to achieve an efficient system.
8 - DESCRIPTION OF STANDARD PLANT ACCESSORIES The control of the fluid dynamics is essential to guarantee efficiency and use of the process system. Failure to control moving fluids may seriously damage the dosing system, its parts and the pump itself. The correct choice of the accessories and their sizing, ensures the efficiency and life-span of the system.
volume. At his/her discretion, the customer may install other types of flowmeters deemed more appropriate for his/her plant. 8.7 - Back pressure valve The back pressure valve is required to prevent the spontaneous passage of liquid (siphoning) in conditions in which the suction tank level is higher than that of discharge. In order to function properly, the dosing pump requires a pressure of at least 2 bar.

12 - OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES 12.1 - Control with inductive proximity sensor ❑ Inductive sensor • The inductive proximity sensor is applied to the dosing pump to detect the number of pumps. For each pump, (equivalent to a rotation of the eccentric shaft) corresponds to an impulse issued by the inductive proximity sensor.
• The features of the motor's electric power supply do not correspond to those on the plate or the chosen connection is inadequate. • Check that the discharge pressure corresponds to the design value. • The flow rate is too pulsating: it requires installation of the dampener diaphragm or the dampener diaphragm installed is not adequate, due to size or pre-charge.
To correctly and easily identify the spare parts, refer to the drawings of the mechanism attached to the pump manual. In their absence, request them from DOSEURO referring to the plate located on the pump to identify the model, serial number and year of manufacture.
14.5.4 - Checking the pump flow rate This is a check of the pump's flow rate curve according to the adjustment, as it is an essential parameter together with the verification of the working pressure to check the regular operation of the pump and therefore of the process.
15 - MAINTENANCE OF DOSING PUMP HEADS 15.1- Maintenance of piston pump heads A 15.1.1 - Piston seal check and replacement The check and maintenance operations program depends on the conditions of use. Should any failures occur with product leakage from the hole under the lantern due to the wear of the gaskets, it must be promptly replaced.
N.B.: Carry out this procedure also once the work process has been completed and the pump must remain stopped for a long period of time. 15.1.3 - Replacement of the "PTFE" gasket pack After completing the depressurisation procedure, proceed as follows: ✓...
Fluid leak measured by the hole located under the lantern • Determine whether the fluid collected is oil or pumped fluid. • If it is pumped fluid, it means that the piston seal gasket is worn or damaged. It will therefore be necessary to replace it.
15.3 - Maintenance of Type B hydraulic diaphragm pump heads 15.3.1 - Operations to be performed on the Type B pump head Periodic check of the pump head Failures or malfunctions may occur due to negligence leading to extraordinary maintenance: proceeding with a periodic visual check, as described in the SR REDUCER manual, preventive maintenance chapter.
✓ Grip the piston, rotate it until the second grub screw is visible, then unscrew it. ✓ Check for wear of the gasket and piston, replace if required. Once operations have been completed, re-assemble the components following the above mentioned operations in reverse order. ATTENTION! N.B.: The piston must be re-assembled paying careful attention to tightening both grub screws the same amount, so that piston is coaxial with the slide.

15.4 - Maintenance of Type BR hydraulic diaphragm pump heads 15.4.1 - Operations to be performed on the Type pump head N.B. The chapters described for the "Pump head Type " apply to the operation and maintenance programs 15.4.2 - Recirculation vessel calibration and oil filling After completing service operations, in order to calibrate recirculation and fill the oil reservoir and the tank with oil (NUTO H 32 or PHARMA), proceed as follows: Make sure that the drain plug located below is tight.
To check whether the operation was successful, proceed as follows: Close valve "2", recirculation will begin to recycle the oil, pressure gauge "3" will indicate the calibration pressure (that must be 10-15% higher than the reading with valve "2" open). By opening valve "2", recirculation will return motionless.
15.5 - Maintenance of Type SD hydraulic diaphragm pump heads 15.5.1 - Operations to be performed on the type pump head Operational principle of the pump head BREAKAGE DETECTION KIT The SD series type dosing pumps are made of a pump head Uni-directional Pressure switch that is characterised by the presence of two diaphragms in...
After failure is signalled by the pressure switch or pressure gauge, the machine continues running almost normally but there is no longer the safe condition constituted by the dual diaphragm, making it necessary to replace both diaphragms as soon as possible. DOSEURO . shall S.r.l not be liable for any damage to the machine or to the process following persistent use of the pump with failure reported.
Otherwise it is required to proceed with recharging anyway. Having said that, and in order to spread out operations on the machine as much as possible, DOSEURO S.r.l. always recommends preventive replacement once you reach this stage of intervention.
15.5.7 - Diaphragm reload and achieving vacuum ATTENTION! Maintenance must only be carried out by specialised and authorised personnel, the operator must use suitable tools. 1 Once the pump head had been reassembled, restore the vacuum between them. 2 Restart the machine without pressure, with 100% stroke with the pressure gauge/pressure switch removed.
