The maximum number of Modules that can be connected in series within a string must be calculated in accordance with applicable regulations in such a way that the specified maximum system voltage (The maximum system voltage of bifacial module is DC 1500V) of the modules and all other electrical DC components will not be exceeded in open-circuit operation at the lowest temperature expected at the PV system location.
The maximum number of series connected modules depends on system design, the type of inverter used and environmental conditions. Based on the maximum series fuse rating of module and local electrical installation code, always make sure Suntech PV modules are assembled with the appropriate string fuse for circuit protection.
For grounding, this guide refers to module frame grounding. If grounding is required, make sure module frames (metal exposed to touch) are always grounded. Suntech recommends always refer to local state and national code requirements for PV module grounding. Suntech highly recommends negative grounding if it's allowed by local authorities.
