  • Page 5 1 - GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1 PURPOSE OF THE MANUAL This manual has been prepared by the machine manufacturer and it is an integral part of the documentation that comes with the machine. This manual explains in detail the purposes of the machine; it establishes its correct use and limitations of use. The indications explained in this manual must be constantly applied to guarantee the maximum safety to the people using the machine, its cost-effective operation and a longer duration of the machine.
  • Page 6 2 - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 2.1 DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE Shredders are machines with a rotor, operated by the power unit of the tractor by means of a P.T.O. shaft and through an overdrive unit and belt side transmission. They are used for maintenance of green areas or direct crushing of organic residues of cultivations (both grass and wood) on the ground.

  • Page 16 2 – TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 2.4 SPECIFICATIONS OF THE JOINT P.T.O. SHAFT The P.T.O. shaft must operate at a minimum angle (should not exceed 10-15 degrees) to protect both shaft and machine duration. When worn out or broken, replace the P.T.O. shaft with a new one marked "CE". Do not make changes or adjustments on the P.T.O.

    3 - SAFETY NORMS 3.1 SAFE USE Read the use and maintenance manual carefully before proceeding with start up operations, the use and maintenance of the machinery. The manufacturer declines responsibilities for any damages caused to people, animals or objects due to non- observance of the safety norms.
  • Page 18 3 - SAFETY NORMS Avoid machine running on empty (out of the ground). During operation, avoid turns with the machine driven into the ground and avoid working reverse. Lift machine when changing direction or changing gears. During transportation, or whenever lifting of machine is necessary, the hydraulic lifter of the tractor must be set in a way that the machine cannot be lifted from the ground over 30 cm.

    4 - INSTALLATION 4.1 HOISTING OF THE MACHINE Machine hoisting and transportation must be done only by means of a suitable vehicle that can sustain the weight of the machine. Hook machine as shown in the following figures and go ahead with the transportation of the machine. During this operation, the machine must not be hoisted more than 200 mms from the ground.
  • Page 23 4 - INSTALLATION 4.4 CONNECTION OF THE P.T.O. JOINT The angle of the P.T.O. shaft position must be at the minimum (not exceeding 10°–15°), by respecting such position both shaft and machine will definitely last longer (see fig. below). TR26, TR36 and TR46 are provided with a deflecting tailgate which can be adjusted at different positions, so that it is possible to perform a specific type of work, depending on the material to be mulched.
  • Page 27 5 - INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 5.5 USE After going through all the previously described procedures, start up the tractor and keep the machine slightly lifted off the ground, insert the P.T.O. shaft and keep motor at a low speed. Once you start moving forward with the tractor, start lowering the machine towards ground level and lead motor to normal speed.

    6 - MAINTENANCE 6.1 CHECKS AND CONTROLS During the first 8 hours of use, it is important to check the tightness of all the bolts since the effort during working procedures creates a settlement of the whole structure. This control should be done every 50 working hours and the instructions of the following chart should be followed.
