• The accuracy of measurements may be limited by the following
factors: increased sweat formation on the forehead, the intake
of vasoconstrictive medication and skin irritation. The temple
and ear thermometer is calibrated for ear temperature
measurement at the manufacturer, inside the ear the sensor is
protected against external temperature and consequently
produces a more precise measurement. On the temple or
forehead the skin is cooler, depending upon ambient
temperature, i.e. the measurement displays 0.5 0.6 °C less
than inside the ear. In an extremely cool environment this
deviation may be even greater.
• Please remember that this does not replace a visit to your
doctor.
• Self-diagnosis and self-treatment using this measurement
device are dangerous. Only a doctor can evaluate your
measurements. It is important that you follow the instructions of
your doctor.
• Clean the water resistant sensor after use. Read the chapter
on cleaning and care for more details.
