Fig. 8C 3.2 ADJUSTING BACKREST TENSION STRAPS Some Aktiv Wheelchairs are supplied with backrest tensioned straps (under backrest cushion) which are provided to provide better posture support for users. The contour of the backrest can be adjusted slightly by loosening or tightening straps.

4.0 GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS The safety of the user requires close attention to ALL safety warnings in this manual. The user must always be aware of the centre of gravity of the wheelchair when attempting to reach for objects in a forward motion or down between the user’s knees.

Failing to lock wheels will cause the wheelchair to move away and applying weight to the footplates whilst transferring will cause the wheelchair to flip forward.
