• Before the old dryer is removed from service or discarded,
remove the dryer door.
• Service information and the wiring diagram are located in
the control console.
• Do not allow children on or in the appliance. Close super-
vision of children is necessary when the appliance is used
near children.
• Install the dryer where the temperature is above 50°F for
satisfactory operation of the dryer control system.

• To reduce the risk of severe injury or death, follow all installation instructions.
• Clothes dryer installation must be performed by a qualified installer.
• Install the clothes dryer according to these instructions and in accordance
with local codes.
• This dryer must be exhausted to the outdoors.
• Use only 4" rigid metal ducting for exhausting the clothes dryer to the
outdoors.
• DO NOT install a clothes dryer with flexible plastic ducting materials.
If flexible metal (semi-rigid or foil-type) duct is installed, it must be UL listed
and installed in accordance with the instructions found in "Connecting The
Dryer To House Vent" on page S of this manual. Flexible venting materials
are known to collapse, be easily crushed, and trap lint. These conditions will
obstruct dryer airflow and increase the risk of fire.
• Do not install or store this appliance in any location where it could be
exposed to water and or weather.
• Save these instructions. (Installers: Be sure to leave these instructions with
the customer).

Prepare the Area and Exhaust for Installation of New
Dryer (see section 1).
Check and Ensure the Existing External Exhaust is
Clean (see section 1) and Meets Attached Installation

Remove the Foam Shipping Pads (see section 1).
Move the Dryer to the Desired Location.
Connect the Power Supply (see section 2).
Connect the External Exhaust (see section 4).
Level Your Dryer (see section 5).

Preparing for New Dryer Installation
Install Dryer Before Washer
Tip to install the dryer before the washer for better access during exhaust installation.
Prepare Wall Exhaust Opening
Remove existing duct, check hood damper, and ensure clear opening for new duct.
Remove Foam Shipping Pads
Tilt dryer and remove all foam pieces from around the legs before placement.
Electrical Connection Information
Avoid Extension Cords/Adapters
Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs with this appliance for safety.
Electrical Grounding Requirements
Ensure dryer is grounded per local codes or the National Electrical Code (ANSI/NFPA NO. 70).
Electrical Requirements
Dryer requires a 30 amp, 120/240V or 120/208V, 60Hz, single-phase branch circuit.

Connecting Dryer Power Cord
Disconnect Power and Remove Cover
Turn off power, unplug dryer, remove power cord cover, and discard ground strap.
Install Strain Relief and Connect Cord
Install strain relief, feed cord through, and connect hot, neutral, and ground wires.
Secure Ground and Cord
Attach ground wire to green screw, tighten terminal screws, and secure cord to strain relief.
Exhaust System Information
Duct Diameter and Length Limits
Use 4" diameter ducting. Avoid using duct longer than specified to prevent fire hazards.
Duct Installation Best Practices
Use UL-listed transition duct, avoid plastic, seal joints tightly, and slope ducts downwards.
Exhaust Hood/Wallcap Requirements
Terminate hood to prevent back drafts, ensure minimal resistance, and install above ground level.
Exhaust Connection Methods
Standard Rear Exhaust

Specific Installation Locations
Alcove or Closet Installation

Dryer Exhaust to Side or Bottom
Prepare Cabinet for Side/Bottom Exhaust

Add Duct for Side Exhaust
Preassemble elbow and duct, insert through side opening, and secure with tape.
Add Duct for Bottom Exhaust

Remove Door Assembly
