INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Mark the installation area and trench a
minimum of three inches deep along the
border. Place edging in trench, with no
more than one inch of edging showing
above ground.
HELPFUL TIPS
CUT EDGING:
Cut edging with a hacksaw or reciprocating saw. Always take
proper safety precautions.
CONNECTING EDGING:
Overlap edging ends six inches. Use two stakes to secure ends.
The head of the stake will cover both thicknesses of the edging
when driven into the ground.

Use a rubber mallet to drive stakes
(included in kit) into the ground every
three to four feet. The hook on the top
of the stake should overlap the top of
the edging.
ANCHORING STAKES:
Some installations may require more anchoring stakes;
supplementary stakes are sold separately.
Plastic stakes can break if driven into rocks or heavily
compacted soil. Moistening soil can help soften the installation
area. If you encounter a rock when installing the edging,
reposition the stake to avoid damaging the stake.
CREATE CORNERS:
Cut edging at corner and abut pieces together. Anchor at
each end to secure properly.
CREATE CURVES:
Composite edging is easiest to bend when warm. Allow
edging to sit in the sun to warm prior to installation.
SEASONAL MAINTENANCE:
I
n areas with uctuating climates and signi cant rainfall, soil
may shift over time. When periodic maintenance is needed,
use a rubber mallet to pound the stakes back into the ground.
