Delta RP47422 Assembly

SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLIES
When replacing a part, follow the illustrated
instructions provided on the back of the Repair
Part Kit.
1. Remove handle.
2. Unscrew bonnet nut and pull out stem unit.
3. Replace in reverse order, making sure tabs on
cartridge align with slots in body and bonnet is
wrenched tight.
IMPORTANT:
For RP47422, both stops (1) must point toward spout
for clockwise closing. For lever handle faucets, both
stops point toward the right. The 1/4 turn stop should
be placed in the front position on the stem unit on the
hot valve (left side) and in the back position on the
cold valve (right side). Bonnet nut must be tightened
securely to prevent leaking or dripping.
For RP54801, Install stems (1) correctly for proper
handle rotation. Note: Stops (4) must point to the
center of the faucet for proper handle rotation. If
necessary, remove retention screws (5) from old stem
units and install in new stem unit assemblies.
If faucet leaks from spout outlet and leaks under
handle:
Replace Stem Unit Assembly (1), Repair Kit RP47422.
Note: Install stems (1) and 1/4 turn stops (2) correctly
for proper handle rotation.
Replace Stem Unit Assembly (1)* and Seats and
Springs (3), Repair Kit RP54801.
If faucet exhibits very low flow:
Clean Seats and Springs (3) of any debris.
