NL ELECTRONIC LOCK INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL LOCK INFORMATION:
LED LIGHT:
The keypad is equipped with an LED to illuminate the keypad when necessary. Press the light button
located on the lower left-hand side of keypad to enable the LED.
LOW BATTERY:
A series of signals indicates that the battery is week and must be replaced. Use only 9V batteries!
The battery compartment is located at the bottom of the unit.
LOCKOUT:
Manipulation protection: Entry of four consecutive invalid codes results in a 5 minute lockout. During this
period, the LED flashes every 10 seconds and any key pressed causes a long signal. After 5 minute period, entry of two
or more invalid codes restarts 5 minute lockout.
CHANGING DEFAULT COMBINATION:
NOTE: The following instructions are for changing the combination for the first time from the set default combination.
•
Enter default combination to unlock the safe: 1 -2-3-4-5-6
•
Open the door and extend the bolts
•
Press and HOLD [0] on keypad until double signal. LED light will remain on during next steps:
•
Enter DEFAULT combination: 1-2-3-4-5-6 [double signal]
•
Enter NEW combination: six-digit code [double signal]
•
Re-enter NEW combination [double signal]
•
Your new combination is now set
IMPORTANT:
Make sure you test your new combination several times with the door open before closing
the safe to ensure your new code was set properly.
REPLACING USER COMBINATION:
•
Enter existing user six-digit combination to unlock the safe
•
Open the door and extend the bolts
•
Press and HOLD [0] on keypad until double signal. LED light will remain on during next steps:

Enter existing user combination [double signal]
•
Enter NEW combination: six-digit code [double signal]
•
Re-enter NEW combination [double signal]
•
Your new combination is now set
•
Test new combination several times before closing the door
