Troubleshooting Guide
1. What can we do if we cannot get wired connection for the TV stick?
(1) Check the second image on our Amazon page to see whether this adapter is compatible with
your TV stick type.
(2) Ensure the Ethernet cable and router work well.
(3) Offer power supply for the Ethernet Adapter.
(4) Check if the TV stick work well when using WiFi.
(5) Please do not use VPN.
2. How can we troubleshoot if the internet speed is slower than we expected?
(1) Generally, the max speed of this Ethernet adapter is 60-70Mbps, and it is much stable than
WiFi.
(2) Ensure your home broadband is at least 100Mbps, and the Ethernet cable you use is cat 5e or
above.
(3) Please do not use VPN.
3. What should we do if there is the error message "Installing the latest software" or "Optimizing
system storage and applications"?
(1) Wait until the installation or optimization finish to see if it can work properly. Generally, that
will takes 10 minutes.
(2) If it doesn't finish, please unplug the devices for a try.
4. What should we do if Google Home app cannot detect the device while the Chromecast can
receive the signal and IP address?
(1) Open the Google Home app from the device you wish to set up your Chromecast with and
follow the set-up instructions.
(2) When setting up Chromecast using an Ethernet Adapter, we only can use an Android or iOS
device. We will be unable to set up the Chromecast using the Google Home app on Windows
(either using Wi-Fi or wired internet).
