To avoid eye injury, do not stare directly into the light beam or shine the beam directly into anyone's eyes. This product is not designed, intended, or recommended for children or hazardous environments.

Product Overview

Always follow the battery manufacturer's instructions as to the proper usage, handling, storage, and disposal of batteries. Use only batteries from a reputable manufacturer. Do not mix different brands or types of batteries in the same flashlight. Replace all batteries at the same time. Failure to follow safety instructions may result in personal injury and damage to property.

GETTING STARTED

AA Battery Installation

Unscrew tail cap and remove battery holder.
Insert six (6) AA batteries following the correct polarity (+,-) marked on the battery holder.
Insert the battery holder into the flashlight with the positive (+) end first.

The flashlight may become warm or hot after extended periods of use at the highest setting. Select a lower setting when the flashlight is hot. This is typical for high-powered flashlights and does not cause damage to the flashlight.

OPERATIONS

On/Off

To turn the flashlight on, press down firmly on the red power button located on the tail of the flashlight until you hear a click.
To turn the flashlight off, press down firmly again until you hear a click.

Switching Modes

There are 3 different lighting modes: HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW
To switch through the modes, gently press down on the red power button.
The flashlight will switch to the next mode when turned off and on in quick succession. It will reset to high mode after being off for more than 20 seconds.

Twist Zoom

Hold both ends of the flashlight; gently twist clockwise to extend and focus.
Twist the opposite direction for a broad dispersed light beam.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the flashlight flickers, works intermittently, changes modes automatically, appears dim or faded, or does not turn on, check and verify that:

Each battery is fully inserted matching the polarity (+/-) on the battery holder.
Each battery end is touching a metal contact in the battery holder.
The battery holder contacts are clean and the springs are not bent sideways.
The flashlight's inner spring is firmly attached and not bent.
The battery holder is inserted into the flashlight with the positive (+) end first.
The tail cap is twisted on tightly.

Firmly press the power button on and off several times:

If the flashlight still does not turn on, replace the batteries.
If the problem persists, contact GearLight for a replacement.

MAINTENANCE

Inspect the flashlight monthly and carefully remove any damaged batteries and clean any corrosion. If the flashlight is used less than once a month, remove the batteries between uses. Lubricate all threads and rubber O-rings with petroleum jelly twice yearly.
