SET UP
REMOTE CONTROLLER BATTERY INSTALLATION
- Slide open the battery cover.
- Install 4 AA (LR6) alkaline batteries (not included) with polarity (+/-) as shown inside the battery compartment. For longer life, use alkaline batteries.
![]()
- Slide the battery cover back on the remote controller.
- Replace batteries in the remote controller if the vehicle does not respond well after a recharge or if you see a red light flashing in the LED indicator during play.
CHARGING THE VEHICLE
The vehicle is powered by a Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery pack, and it must be fully charged with the included wall charger before first use.
![Mattel - Hot Wheels Cybertruck - Charging the Vehicle Charging the Vehicle]()
- Plug the wall charger into a standard wall outlet.
- Connect the battery pack's charger connector to one end of the adapter. Connect the other end of the adapter to the wall charger to begin charging. Make sure the connectors are tightly attached.
- A red LED will light up on the wall charger to indicate the battery pack is charging. Green LEDs will also light up on the adapter to indicate the battery charge level. Charging is complete when the wall charger LED turns green or when the green LEDs on the adapter reach 100%. A full charge will take approximately 60 minutes. Charging time may vary.
- To disconnect the wires, push down on the connector clip and pull apart.
- Unlike alkaline batteries, where the power loss is gradual, a Li-ion battery will run for its normal running time (approximately 10 to 30 minutes depending on driving style and mode) and then lose most of its power at once. It is now time to recharge the battery.
TIPS:
- Charging the battery for more than what is recommended will not give you a longer running time.
- The battery will be hot after play. Wait at least 10 to 15 minutes until the battery cools down before recharging the battery.
- When red LEDs light up on the adapter, you should unplug the charger connectors from both ends of the adapter. Wait at least 10 minutes until the battery and adapter resume normal operation before charging the battery again.

- Turn off the vehicle after play. Leaving a discharged battery pack in a vehicle for a prolonged period of time can severely damage the battery. Always charge the battery prior to storage.
- As a reminder to switch the vehicle OFF after play, the front wheels will suddenly move left and right if left idle for a few minutes with the power still switched on.
PAIRING THE REMOTE CONTROLLER AND VEHICLE
- Slide the ON/OFF switch to I (ON) on the remote controller, and a green LED will light up if there is sufficient battery power.
- Slide the ON/OFF switch to I (ON) on the vehicle to complete the pairing process.
- If the vehicle does not respond to the remote controller, turn the vehicle and remote controller OFF then ON to try pairing them again.
THROTTLE/STEERING TRIM
It's recommended that you check the vehicle's throttle and steering alignment before play.
THROTTLE TRIM
- Press and release the throttle trigger.
- If the vehicle continues to move forward after the throttle trigger is released, turn the throttle trim dial clockwise or counterclockwise until it stops.

STEERING TRIM
- Drive the vehicle forward to see if it is driving straight.
- If the vehicle automatically steers toward the right/left, turn the alignment trim dial to the opposite direction until the vehicle goes in a straight line.

HOW TO DRIVE
CHECKLIST
- Is the vehicle's battery box door closed properly?
- Is the vehicle's battery pack fully charged?
- Is the remote controller equipped with fresh batteries?
- Is the remote controller paired with the vehicle?
- Has the vehicle's throttle and steering been trimmed?
CONTROLS
Use the throttle trigger to drive forward and backward. Rotate the steering wheel as the Cybertruck is moving to turn left/right.
![]()
NOTE: Operating range of the remote controller is up to 100 ft (30 m).
SKILL CHECK!
Remember, turning directions are flipped on the remote controller when you are driving backward!
SPEED MODES
The Cybertruck is equipped with two speed modes: CHILL MODE and SPORT MODE.
Chill Mode is the default speed mode your vehicle is in once it is switched on. Sport Mode, on the other hand, increases the vehicle's throttle power and allows for a higher speed.
To switch to Sport Mode, press and hold the Speed Mode button for approximately 5 seconds. The remote controller's LED will flash quickly to indicate the vehicle is in Sport Mode. To switch back to Chill Mode, press and hold the Speed Mode button again for approximately 5 seconds or switch the remote controller and vehicle OFF then back ON so it returns to the default speed mode.

NOTES:
- Speed modes cannot be switched when the vehicle is in motion. Stop the vehicle and wait until it is still before switching modes.
- The vehicle will consume more battery power when it is in Sport Mode.
TIPS & HINTS – FOR ALL DRIVING ENVIRONMENTS
![]()
- When your vehicle starts to lose power, it may lose functions or performance. It's time for a recharge. For best performance, always start with a fully-charged battery. Your vehicle's running time may change depending on driving style and driving environment.
- Radio interference can make your vehicle run badly. Interference can be caused by other RC vehicles running on the same frequency, electrical wires, large buildings, CB radios, or other wireless gear. Try to stay away from these!
- Point your remote controller up, and not down toward your vehicle. If your vehicle gets too far away, it won't work properly.
- Don't store your vehicle near heat or in direct sunlight. Always turn switches OFF and remove all batteries from the remote controller before storage.
- Don't drive your vehicle in sand or through water or snow. Do not immerse in water. If your vehicle does get wet, wipe it with a towel and allow to dry completely overnight. If your remote controller is accidentally dropped in water, remove battery(ies) and allow your remote controller to air-dry. Replace with fresh battery(ies) before operation.
- When exposed to an electrostatic source, the remote controller and/or the vehicle may malfunction. To resume normal operation of the remote controller, remove the batteries and reinstall them after 5 seconds. To resume normal operation of the vehicle, turn the power OFF for 5 seconds, then turn it ON again.
- For extended storage, make sure to charge the battery before storing so that the battery does not become depleted over time. The battery should be charged once a year if the vehicle is to remain in storage.
SAFETY TIPS
- Play safely! Do not drive the vehicle in the street!
- DO NOT pick up the vehicle while in motion.
- Keep fingers, hair, and loose clothing away from the wheels while the vehicle is switched ON.
