  • Page 8 Safety decals must always be visible and legible. If any decals are worn, damaged, or missing, they must be replaced immediately. New safety decals can be ordered directly from PREMIER. These decals are essential to your safety and the safety of others.
  • Page 9 Ensure the attachment is securely latched to the host machine before use. Never stand or reach under the attachment, even with the engine off. Keep hands, feet, clothing, jewelry, and hair away from all moving parts. Never stand between the vehicle and the attachment. Stay clear during operation—never align, support, or position posts by hand or tool while the attachment is running.

  • Page 11 The High Reach Mount for skid steers offers adjustable height positions through multiple pin-on locations, allowing you to set the post driver at the ideal height for your application. To adjust, simply lay the post driver flat, align the holes at your desired height, and insert the pins. For added convenience during mounting, the unit features swivel legs that automatically swing outward when the mount is positioned perpendicular to the ground.

  • Page 17 Safety is a primary concern in the design, manufacture, sale, and use of a PREMIER Hydraulic Driver-Breaker. PREMIER confirms to you, our customer, our concern for safety. Improper operation of this equipment can cause serious personal injury or death. Operation of this attachment should only be done by a competent adult acting in compliance with both the vehicle and attachment Operator’s Manuals.
  • Page 18 BREAKER 1. If the model contains an auger system, ensure that the diverter valve lever is fully in the “down” position to enable the Driver-Breaker hydraulics. 2. During the striking operation, apply appropriate disruptive force with the Breaker to guarantee effective breaking.
  • Page 19 4.11. Do not use ropes, chains, etc. to suspend objects under the Breaker. In addition to being quite dangerous, suspending objects under the attachment could easily damage the Breaker. 4.12. In cold weather, the engine should be preheated before operation according to the operation and maintenance instructions of the host machine (~5-20 minutes).

    REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE Proper installation, operation, and maintenance are essential for safe, dependable performance and long service life of the PREMIER Hydraulic Driver-Breaker. All operators must read and understand this manual in full before use or service. Routine inspection and care will prevent downtime and protect both the attachment and the operator.
  • Page 21 Approximate capacity for MS11, MS14, and MS18: 1.5 pints. Check oil level daily. Before long-term storage: • Fill drive unit motor and hoses with clean oil. Fill planetary gear reduction to proper capacity. Grease these parts generously: drive unit output shaft, inside of auger collar, variable extension shafts, and all connecting pins.
  • Page 22 The Combo Driver-Breaker configuration has the flexibility to become a concrete breaker as well as a post driver. With additional mounting locations, the mounting bracket can be moved to the top to allow this unit to be used as a concrete breaker. Follow the steps below to convert your Combo unit from a Post Driver to a Concrete Breaker.

  • Page 26 DRIVE UNIT SERVICING PROCEDURES All Power Wheel drive units and kits are shipped with a label (example shown below) that includes the Auburn Gear part number and order code. In addition to the label, Power Wheel drive units are stamped with the last four digits of the part number and the date code, which appears on the cover or hub flange.
  • Page 27 4. Assemble the inner bearing cone (3) over the output shaft (1). Place the bearing cone (3) over the output shaft bearing journal. Press the bearing cone (3) down until the rollers just touch the bearing cup (4). Take care to avoid pressing the bearing cone (3) too far. 5.

Additional protection may be required if the driving unit is stored for an extended period.
