    IMPORTANT SHADELAB guarantees the EC marking only for products supplied by the company itself. If any parts have to be replaced with other components not guaranteed by SHADELAB, the product guarantee will automatically become void and SHADELAB shall not answer for any malfunctions of the product.

    ATTENTION As regards personal safety, installation must be performed in observance of Decree of the President of the Republic 164/56 and Legislative Decree 494/96. IMPORTANT During the operations described in this manual, make sure that ONLY qualified person- nel enter the work area (see Para. 1.2 “Personnel requirements”). ATTENTION If the awning is installed on a floor higher than the ground floor, the person cleaning the awning must pay greater attention to the risk of falling.

    5 - AWNING ASSEMBLY 5.1 - Assembly version 1 IMPORTANT Before starting assembly, the person appointed to do the job must have cut the pieces to suit the size of the awning that is to be obtained (see tab. para 3.1). Prepare the pieces required to assemble the column: - column profile (see ref.

    5.2 - Assembly version 2 Version 2 comprises two columns and three guides. For the two columns and the first guide refer to the version 1 instructions from fig. 6 to fig. 15. For the other two guides follow the instructions shown below.     5.3 - Assembly version 3 In version 3 the bearing structure comprises just two guides complete with two wall/ ceiling kits each; to assemble the two guides see figs. 24 and 25.     5.4 - Assembly version 4 Version 4 comprises two columns and five guides; it is a leaf version 2 with a further two guides. To assemble the two guides follow the instructions below.     6 - PACKING/UNPACKING AND TRANSPORTING THE AWNING 6.1 - Packing After assembly, the awning must be packed together with all its components. IMPORTANT Good quality packaging must be used in order to protect the awning from knocks and damage to its main components. IMPORTANT During packing it is necessary to pay particular attention to the delicate parts of the awning (for example, the fabric);...

    7 - INSTALLING THE AWNING Before beginning, the qualified operator must be aware of certain pieces of informa- tion that are indispensable for successful installation: » size of the awning; » size of the foot and brackets; » side of the awning where the open/close command (manual or motorised) is located; »...

    7.2 - Installation version 2 Position the two columns with a guide profile (see fig. 28-29-30). Attach the first inclined guide to the column as shown in the figure.     7.4 - Installation version 4 Assemble the two columns (see ref. 51 fig. 53) with the first three guides (see ref. 52 fig. 53) as described in version 2, thus obtain- ing the bearing structure of the awning. The other two guides will be added later to help the fabric slide.
