  • Phillips #2 screw driver
  • Trimming tool

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Confirm accessory fitment at Kolpin.com to ensure this accessory is designed to fit your ATV.
  2. Place the Throttle Master over your existing throttle on your ATV.
  3. Using the lock nuts, 1/4" truss head bolts, and a Phillips screw driver, loosely tighten to hold the Throttle Master on the ATV throttle. See Illustration 1-1.
  4. Check the location of your new Throttle Master. You can slide the Throttle Master Section outwards to obtain more leverage.
  5. Tighten down the Mounting Base securely to the ATV throttle.
  6. Place the Rubber Caps over the extra threads that protrude out past the backside of the Mounting Base.
  7. With the ATV off, check throttle function to ensure 1/8" minimum clearance with hand grips and any other parts / accessories on the handle bars. Some hand grips may need to be trimmed to ensure sufficient clearance. Trim the entire circumference so that the grip can rotate without interfering with Throttle Master. See Illustration 1-2, 1-3, and 1-4. Adjust if needed.

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Do not use Throttle Master if proper clearance cannot be achieved on your ATV. Installing Throttle Master without at least 1/8" clearance from all parts for its entire range of motion could result in the throttle being stuck in the open position, which may lead to loss of control, serious injury, or death. If throttle becomes stuck in open position while operating, apply the brakes to come to a stop and turn off the ATV.

SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Inspect Throttle Master for damage. Do not use and replace if damage or wear does not allow for proper functionality. Before starting the ATV:
    • Make sure Throttle Master is tightly secured on the OEM thumb throttle.
    • Make sure throttle travels from no throttle to full throttle and full throttle to no throttle without interference (minimum 1/8" clearance) from hand grips or other components / accessories. Repeat this check with the handlebars in full left and full right position.
  • If the Throttle Master is impacted by an object (tree branch, debris, etc.), find a safe location to stop and assess the situation. Inspect the Throttle Master for damage and function as mentioned directly above prior to resuming riding.
  • Do not modify the Throttle Master. Only use included mounting hardware for installation.
  • Loose-fitting riding gear, such as gloves and long-sleeve clothes, could interference with throttle control. Do not use Throttle Master with riding gear that interferes with throttle control. Always follow ATV manufacturer's safety instructions for proper riding gear.
