integrating NORA-W40 stand-alone Wi-Fi 6 (802.11b/g/n/ax), Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee 3.0 and
Thread 1.3 (802.15.4) module in customer applications. Including a powerful microcontroller, MCU,
NORA-W40 is intended for custom application software. The module has several important
embedded security features, including secure boot, which ensures the module boots with
authenticated software only.

    Country approvals. NORA-W40 series modules support a temperature range of –40 °C to +85 °C and are qualified according to the u-blox qualification policy based on AEC-Q104 standard for professional grade operation. NORA-W40 modules are qualified against Bluetooth Core 5.3. For further information about the module operating conditions, see the NORA-W40 series data sheet [2].

When configured as the primary processor in an application, it can operate as a stand-alone solution, efficiently managing a broad range of tasks on its embedded CPU — eliminating the need for additional hardware.

    NORA-W40 series - System integration manual ⚠ Take particular care not to place components close to the antenna area and follow the recommendations from the antenna manufacturer to determine the safe distance between the antenna and any other part of the system. Designers should also maximize the distance between the antenna and high-frequency buses, like DDRs and related components, or consider the use of an optional metal shield to reduce the potential interference picked up by the module antenna.
