Before First Use

Remove all packaging and wash the inside of your milk frother using warm soapy water and a soft damp cloth. DO NOT use a scouring pad or abrasive material as this will remove the non-stick coating. DO NOT immerse the frother in water. Rinse and dry thoroughly before use.

Using the Frothing Programmes

Preparing Hot Chocolate and Milkshakes

• To prepare hot chocolate and cold flavoured milk drinks, follow steps 1-4 in 'Using Your Milk Frother' Section. Ensure the Frothing Whisk (14) is removed and stored as above.
• Pour in the milk and add the hot chocolate powder/milkshake syrup.
• Replace the Lid (1). For hot chocolate, press the Power/Function Button (6) once. For milkshakes, double press the Power/Function Button.
• The Frother will switch off automatically when done. For hot chocolate, allow 30 seconds to cool before drinking and always clean your milk frother before using again.

Pouring the Milk

• To make the perfect frothy drink, we recommend you separate the froth from the heated milk. To do this, use a spoon or spatula to retain the froth in the Jug (5) whilst pouring out the milk slowly. Add the froth on top afterwards.

Cleaning

• In order to keep your worktops clean and tidy, the Stirring Arm (13) and Frothing Whisk (14) can sit on the underside of the Lid (1), when pouring milk into the Jug (5).

Health And Safety

The use of any electrical appliance requires the following common sense safety rules.

Please read these instructions carefully before using the product.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: farm houses, by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments, and bed and breakfast type environments. It is not suitable for use in staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments.
• 
  The appliance must not be immersed for cleaning.
• If the mains cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

Location

• Always locate your appliance away from the edge of the worktop.
• Ensure that the appliance is used on a firm, flat surface.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors or near water.
• 
  Do not place the appliance onto a metal tray or metal surface whilst in use.

Mains cable

• Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of the worktop where a child could reach it.
• Do not let the mains cable run across an open space e.g. between a low socket and a table.
• Do not let the mains cable run across a cooker or other hot area which might damage the cable.
• The mains cable should reach from the socket to the Power Base without straining the connections.

Personal safety

• 
  To protect against fire, electric shock and personal injury do not immerse cord, plug and appliance in water or any other liquid.
• 
  Misuse of appliance could cause personal injury.
• Unplug from the outlet before cleaning.
• Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
• Do not move the milk frother while switched on.

Other safety considerations

• The use of attachments or tools not recommended or sold by Morphy Richards, may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
• Do not use the appliance for any use other than its intended purpose.
• Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
• When using the unit, ensure the lid is in place properly before switching on.
• Do not remove the lid unit the blade has stopped turning.
• Never fill your milk frother above the maximum fill line.
• 
  To prevent damage to the appliance, do not use alkaline cleaning agents when cleaning. Use a soft cloth and detergent.

Electrical requirements
Should the fuse in the mains plug require changing, a 3 amp BS1362 fuse must be fitted.

This appliance must be earthed.
