Material pairing

Standard gas fittings made from gunmetal, brass, copper or galvanized steel can be connected.
Comply with the regulations of the regional gas supply company regarding mixed installations involving Geberit Mapress Copper (Gas) and Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel (Gas).

Safety

Target group and their qualifications
Geberit piping systems for gas must only be mounted by skilled persons (in accordance with DIN EN IEC/IEEE 82079-1:2021-09).

Safety notes
The following safety notes must be observed during mounting:

• Only insert fittings with a yellow mark and a yellow seal ring.
• After mounting, perform a pressure test according to country-specific regulations.

Professional corrosion protection is required for Geberit Mapress Copper (Gas) in the following construction situations:

• Concealed installation and underfloor installation.
• Exposed installation if the influence of corrosion promoters cannot be reliably excluded.

Intended use
Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel (Gas) is only allowed to be used as follows:

• For setting up gas installations in accordance with the country-specific standards and guidelines.
• For gas installations using natural gas (NG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and hydrogen (H₂) in accordance with country-specific standards and guidelines.
