SFP+ Test Adapter User Manual Introduction This user’s guide documents the SFP+ Plug and Receptacle Test Adapters (SFP+-TPA-HCB-P and SFP+-TPA-MCB-R), and the Low Speed HCB and MCB Switch Module assemblies. The two test adapter types, shown in Figures 1 and 2, test SFP+ interface cables, hosts, and modules to the requirements of the SFF-8431 and SFF-8083 specifications.

The SFP+ MCB Test Adapter tests to the requirements of the Module Compliance Board (Receptacle) (Note: Coaxial cables shown are illustrated shorter than those used in the test adapter.) NOTE: The metal shell of both the plug (SFP+-TPA-HCB-P) and receptacle (SFP+-TPA-MCB-R) connectors tie high-speed ground to chassis ground.
