5. Select the alternative USB driver (USB-CDC) as described in the following section If there are some issues using the Opticon driver it is possible to use the alternative USB-CDC driver (also used by most Opticon 2D barcode readers). This can be helpful for Linux and MAC compatibility. Also, if you have a driver issue but need to update the firmware, it is possible to use this CDC driver.
Page 19
User manual - OPN-2500 - Rev 1.1 USB CDC mode (BPC) This mode functions the same as USB-VCP mode but uses the Opticon 2D barcode driver which is useful for Linux and MAC compatibility. OPN-2001 mode (USB-CDC) (BQZ) Switch to OPN-2001 compatibility mode but use the USB-CDC driver instead of the standard driver. Use the latest OPN Companion application to configure the OPN-2500 and retrieve the bar code data.

User manual - OPN-2500 - Rev 1.1 Appendix B: Database output formatting In batch mode, the default output format of each record in the database file (SCANNED.TXT) is: [Barcode],[serial #],[hh:mm:ss],[dd/mm/yyyy] However, batch mode allows you to customize this format to make it suitable for your own application. The following aspects of the output format are configurable.
