Two (2) or Four (4) mounting legs (Depending on the model) You may need (Not included): Drill Press Punch Hacksaw, band saw, or angle grinder. Ferndale Safety has an optional installation kit (FER-IKIT) with the following: Drill bit Tap ¼" -20 ¼" -20 bolts Cable gland Wire connectors The shield assembly gets installed onto the mounting legs. - Page 4 Be careful when drilling into the headstock. Do not drill through the cover and allow chips and debris to enter the gearbox. Do not drill into any oil passageways accidentally. Be careful not to hit any bearings. The headstock covers on some lathes are very thin and may not provide much support. Other lathes have curved headstock covers and don't have much for mounting points.
