  • Page 25 DC2725 Operating Manual General 3.3 Description of the dust collector FILTER HOUSING CONTROL PANEL DUST BIN CONNECTION FOR DUST HOSE LIFTING SYSTEM FOR DUST BIN PULSE CLEANING SYSTEM Filter housing (1) The filter housing contains the filter cartridges as well as the automatic cleaning system.
  • Page 26 Operating Manual DC2725 General Dust bin (2) and lifting system (7) Below the filter housing the dust bin is located where the dust will be collected. The dust bin seizes about 100 litres / 26.4 gal and is equipped with two wheels.
  • Page 27 Operating Manual General Control panel (5) In the control panel of the DC2725 all elements are central combined for the operation of the dust collector. The main switch (1) must be switched ON to start up the dust collector. By Push Button (2) as well as (3) the fan as well as compressor are switched ON/OFF.

  • Page 32 Operating Manual DC2725 Transport 4.1 General notes Before the dust collector is used for the first time, the manufacturer and authorised dealers offer a course to familiarise maintenance and operating personnel with all elements of the dust collector. We are not liable for damage caused by incorrect use of the dust collector by personnel not being trained.

  • Page 36 Operating Manual DC2725 Initial Operation 5.1 Preparing for initial operation Before start-Up of the dust collector, operating personnel must have made itself familiar with the safety regulations, which are treated in this manual. Bring the dust collector on the job site near to the machine to be connected.
  • Page 37 DC2725 Operating Manual Initial Operation 5.2 Initial operation After the preparing, proceed as follows to start up the dust collector. (1) Connect the dust hose (1) with the hose connector (2). (2) Connect the connection plug (3) with a cable to the power supply.
  • Page 38 Operating Manual DC2725 Initial Operation (8) During the first minutes of operation, observe regularly the dust arising in the dust bin to analyse the filling and prevent an overload. The manufacturer does not recommend to operate any machine that generates dust without a dust collector.

    DC2725 Operation 6.1 Operation of the dust collector Initial operation and operation of the dust collector DC2725 do not differ from the proceedings described in chapter 5 "Initial operation". Consider however following notes for continuous operation. Control daily the sediment bowl filter separator (1) of the compressed air system.

    DC2725 Operating Manual Operation 6.2 Dust bin dumping The dust bin of the dust collector should be checked regularly for its level. The time intervals depend on the attached machine as well as the surface to be treated. To empty the dust bin, loosen the locking levers (1) pull out handle (2) turn it as shown and push it back, placed in the desired height position.

    Operating Manual DC2725 Operation 6.3 Switch off the dust collector Allow the dust collector after completion of the work, to run still some minutes. This will allow the filter cartridges to have a better cleaning effect. This is specially recommended when operating in environment with high air humidity and if the treated surface still had humidity.

    DC2725 Operating Manual Operation 6.6 Start up after safety switch off After a fault, ensure that you find the reason of the fault before you restart the dust collector. Leave the main-switch in Off position and bring the machine in the safety-off position before you start to find out the fault.

Before longer downtimes Allow the dust collector after completion of the work, to run still some minutes. This will allow the filter cartridges to have a better cleaning effect.

  • Page 46 Operating Manual DC2725 Maintenance 7.1 Recommendations Prior to any repair work on the machine and its drives, secure the machine against unintentional switch-on. Put the machine to its Safety Off position as described in chapter 2.6. Failures due to inadequate or incorrect maintenance may generate very high repair costs and long stoppage periods of the machine.

  • Page 48 Operating Manual DC2725 Maintenance 7.3 Maintenance As already mentioned in Chapter 5 “Initial operation” we recommend accomplishing the first repair works on the machine with the help of dealers personnel. Using this option, your maintenance personnel will have the opportunity to get an intensive training.

  • Page 50 Operating Manual DC2725 Maintenance Fan Poly-V belt (5): Loosen the three motor bracket nuts (1). Move the motor bracket upwards, using the threaded rod (2) until you could take out the belt easily. Insert the Poly-V-belt in the belt pulley grooves manually without forcing the belt.

When the screws are tightened further using a certain amount of force the hub is drawn up to the tapered bush (B) which is pressed onto the shaft with great force.

Unpack the new cartridges and place them at side, use the packing for a dust free transport and storing of the older cartridges.
