INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. Plug the appliance into a current socket with the following characteristics: AC 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz.
  2. Choose the tip and insert on the foam cutter. Control that the tip is clean and the hole where it is inserted is free from impurities. Before removing the tip, unplug the foam cutter from the electric supply and let it cool down.

ATTENTION: Do not use not original spare parts.
Do not use a spare wire different from the one supplied, it can cause damages to the card.

MAINTENANCE

  1. This appliance requires no maintenance except cleaning of its external surfaces. To clean external surfaces, use only a soft moistened cloth. Do not use solvents.
  2. Before cleaning the appliance, set or change tips disconnect it from the mains socket and wait for it to cool down. Do not put the tool under liquid substances.

SAFETY MEASURES

  1. ATTENTION: Place the tool on the support when you do not use it.
  2. Keep the tool away from inflammable materials.
  3. Disorder and scarce lighting could cause incidents. Keep the working area always clean and well-lighted.
  4. The electric resistance starts to warm up when the foam cutter is connected to the power supply. Do not touch the hot tip of the tool. Always remember the tool has a hot tip to avoid burns. Store it in the suitable support.
  5. The possible exhalations coming from the material on which you are working can be dangerous. Ask for information about toxicity of the used materials and work in a well-airy area.
  6. Handle with comfort the tool and proceed to cut without forcing the cutting. Let the heat of the tool do the job without forcing in order to avoid damages to the tools.
  7. Do not let the foam cutter unattended when it is plugged to the electricity supply.

SAFETY WARNINGS

  1. Read the following instruction before use.
  2. This equipment should not be operated without monitoring.
  3. The safe use of this appliance requires the respect of some basic rules such as: never touch the appliance with wet or damp feet or hands; never expose the appliance to atmospheric conditions (rain, direct sun, etc.); do not expose the appliance to humidity or water.
  4. Do not pull the power cord or the appliance itself to remove the plug.
  5. Always unplug the appliance before performing any maintenance and whether it is not used for long periods of time. Before inserting or removing the tips, unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
  6. Do not carry out any cleaning or maintenance without first disconnecting the feeder from the power supply.
  7. The appliance is only to be used with the power supply unit provided with the appliance. The power cord must never be in contact with the hot surfaces of the foam cutter. The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the power supply unit should be scrapped.
  8. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazard involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

  1. Remove all the packaging material and make sure that the appliance is in good condition. If you have any doubt, do not use the appliance and contact our After-Sales Service. Keep the packaging material (staples, nylon bags, etc.) out of the reach of children. Before turning the fan heater on, check that the voltage and frequency of the power socket are compatible with those indicated in the product technical plate.
  2. This appliance must be connected to an approved mains socket that complies with the safety regulations on electrical systems for civil purposes. The electrical system must be specific for the appliance rated voltage and must be equipped with an earth cable.
  3. The appliance must be used only for its intended use, that is, as foam cutter. Any use other than its intended purpose shall be deemed to be improper and hazardous.
  4. The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for damages derived from misuse of this appliance, do not assuming any responsibility in case of incorrect use that will decline any warranty.
  5. burn hazard Always place the foam cutter on a flat and even surface. Use always the issued support to store the soft-solder when you do not use it, to avoid accidental contact with the hot parts and the risk of fire.
  6. The appliance has dangerous components that must be kept out of the reach of children.
  7. Never use this device near curtains, inflammable material, furniture, etc.
  8. Before plugging the foam cutter into a socket, check whether your voltage corresponds to the rating label of the appliance. Do not leave the foam cutter on, if you do not use it; it causes an early oxidation reaching over-temperatures which could compromise the duration.
  9. Before using the tool, control its integrity, if there are any defective parts or it has other conditions, which could negatively influence its functions and safety. Do not use the tool if any part is damaged or defective.
  10. If the appliance does not work properly, immediately turn off the fan heater and disconnect it from the mains socket. For repairs, contact a technical support centre authorized by the manufacturer, and require that original spare parts be used. Using parts that do not conform to the product may seriously compromise its correct operation.
  11. Do not lean the metal parts of the foam cutter, if it is on (tips or resistances) on inflammable or perishable materials at high temperatures (for ex.: plastic, rubber, wood).
  12. Do not touch the metal parts of the foam cutter (tips or resistances) when it is on, with your hands or other parts of the body. High temperatures can cause severe burns. Handle with care.
  13. shock hazard After finishing the work, leave the foam cutter cool in the air before put it away; never put it under water to avoid electric shocks. Store the tool far from rain or humidity.
  14. Never connect the power cord to extensions or triple plugs. Do not pull or damage the power cord. Before any maintenance operations, disconnect the plug from the mains socket.
  15. This tool is not a toy. The appliance is to be kept out of reach of children.
