Why does the power turn off when I press the print key?
The batteries are weak.
If you are using AAA alkaline batteries: Replace them with new ones.
If you are using Ni-MH batteries: Charge them fully.
Check that the batteries are correctly inserted.
If there is an AC adapter jack is on the bottom of the printer: Use an AC adapter
(included or optional).
Why does my machine display "2 Line Limit!" or "1 Line
Limit!" when I press the Print key?
Check the following:
You tried to enter a 3rd line.
In this case, you see two return marks "
Clear either of them, and press the [Print] key.
You tried to print or preview two lines of text while 3.5 mm / 0.13" or 6 mm / 0.23"
tape is installed.
Install a larger tape size or clear the return mark "

The P-touch resets to the default settings when more than 3 minutes pass after the batteries are removed, or the P-touch is disconnected from the AC adapter without using batteries.
  • Page 3 You tried to print with invalid Frame setting ON.  You cannot print on 3.5 mm / 0.13″ tape with any Frames. Some Frames are only for use with 12 mm / 0.47″ tape. Press the [OK] key ( ) to print with no Frame, or the [ESC] key ( ) to cancel.
