The Hypertec UPS will provide a 220~240VAC 1φ(single-phase)power source. Please verify that this model matches your AC mains / load voltage requirements. The Hypertec UPS must be earthed at all times during operation. This can...
be achieved by only connecting the input power chord to a mains supply socket outlet with an integral earth terminal. A means of disconnecting the mains supply should be within 2 meters of the UPS. Output sockets on the UPS are electrically live if the UPS is switched ON, even if the UPS is not plugged in to mains supply.
NOTE. The batteries used in your Hypertec UPS are maintenance free. This means that you DO NOT need to check the battery fluid levels. Trying to do so may cause injury to yourself, or may cause a fault with the battery / UPS.
1. Summary 1.1 Introduction The Hypertec Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) provides uninterrupted, high quality, efficient and reliable AC power to loads It also has functions for protection and monitoring of the UPS operation. This series of 1KVA-3KVA products are designed as advanced ON-LINE UPS that provide the multiple functions and good performance.

interruption. 1.2.10 Cold Start Capacity: When battery voltage is low, the UPS will protect itself and shut down automatically. When main power restores, the UPS will detect the main power and monitor it to determine whether the voltage and frequency are normal.
1.3 Symbol Definitions The safety symbols cited in this manual are shown in table 1-1, which are used to inform readers of safety issues that should be obeyed when installation, operation and maintenance. Safety Indication Symbol Attention Static discharge sensitive Electric shock There are three levers of safety grade: Dangerous, Warning and Attention.
The Principle of the UPS Fig 4 UPS Principle Diagram Input filter: Complete filtering of the input AC utility power to provide clean power into the UPS. AC/DC converter: Convert the filtered AC mains to DC and boost the DC for DC/AC inverter.
Extended backup external battery connection (OPTIONAL) Fig 7 Battery Connection WARNING: Before installing any additional battery units for longer backup time, ensure that the UPS is turned off and the input power is also switched off (or the input power plug is unplugged from the socket outlet) ...
UPS is likely to have output voltage no matter whether the power input cable is plugged in mains input socket. If you wish UPS have no output, first break off the switch and then cancel the mains. When connect laser printer, select the capacity of UPS according to the UPS start power because the startup power is higher.

Load: Displays the numerical value of the active power (WATT) and apparent power (VA) of the load. As demonstrated in the following figure, the WATT of the load is 100w, VA is 100VA (when the load is disconnect, it is a normal phenomenon to show a small numerical value of WATT and VA).
Battery: Display the voltage and capacity of the battery (determined by type). As the following graphics shows: the battery voltage is 28v, the capacity of battery is 100 % (the capacity of battery is approximately reckoned according to the battery voltage). By pressing and holding the inquiring key for more than 2 seconds, a sequential display of the inquiry items will occur, changing every 2 seconds...

4.5.2 Line mode LED indicators on front panel in line mode are as follows: The inverter green LED is on. When the input AC mains meets the conditions for normal operation, the UPS will work in line mode. 4.5.3 Battery mode LED indicators on the front panel in battery mode are as follows: Both the inverter green LED and battery yellow LED are on, the buzzer beeps once every 4 seconds.
Fault mode(Display interface on which the fault code displays) The UPS goes into fault mode if an overload fault, inverting fault and/or over- temperature fault occurs. The UPS cuts off the output and fault codes will be displayed. At that moment, you can press the mute key to make the buzzer stop beeping temporarily to wait for maintenance.
the backup time or the battery voltage fluctuates, then the UPS batteries should be checked, and possibly replaced, as soon as possible. This must only be performed by qualified personnel. When replacing the batteries, it is recommended to change all the batteries rather than changing the batteries individually on separate occasions.
