A means of disconnecting the mains supply should be within 2 meters of the UPS.  Output sockets on the UPS are electrically live if the UPS is switched ON, even if the UPS is not plugged in to mains supply.

     NOTE. The batteries used in your Hypertec UPS are maintenance free. This means that you DO NOT need to check the battery fluid levels. Trying to do so may cause injury to yourself, or may cause a fault with the battery / UPS.

    1. Summary 1.1 Introduction The Hypertec Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) provides uninterrupted, high quality, efficient and reliable AC power to loads It also has functions for protection and monitoring of the UPS operation. This series of 1KVA-3KVA products are designed as advanced ON-LINE UPS that provide the multiple functions and good performance.

     UPS is likely to have output voltage no matter whether the power input cable is plugged in mains input socket. If you wish UPS have no output, first break off the switch and then cancel the mains.  When connect laser printer, select the capacity of UPS according to the UPS start power because the startup power is higher.

    4. Panel display and general operation The operation of the UPS is easy to understand and the instructions are clearly set out in the manual. No special training is required, however support is available upon request. Please contact Legend for further information. Display and its Control 4.1.1.
  • Page 18 4.1.2. The description of LED display lamp functions The LED’s on the display have specific functions. These are defined below.  Warning red LED is on: The UPS is in fault mode and has no output. For example: Overload beyond the allowed time, inverter fault, BUS fault, over temperature fault etc.

     Battery: Display the voltage and capacity of the battery (determined by type). As the following graphics shows: the battery voltage is 28v, the capacity of battery is 100 % (the capacity of battery is approximately reckoned according to the battery voltage).      Fault mode(Display interface on which the fault code displays) The UPS goes into fault mode if an overload fault, inverting fault and/or over- temperature fault occurs. The UPS cuts off the output and fault codes will be displayed. At that moment, you can press the mute key to make the buzzer stop beeping temporarily to wait for maintenance.

    the backup time or the battery voltage fluctuates, then the UPS batteries should be checked, and possibly replaced, as soon as possible. This must only be performed by qualified personnel. When replacing the batteries, it is recommended to change all the batteries rather than changing the batteries individually on separate occasions.

    6.5 Communication interface 6.5.1 RS232 communication interface This UPS provides a standard DB9 communication interface on its rear panel. The wiring specifics of the pins are as follows: 6.5.2 RS232 cable specifications When connecting the UPS to a PC using a RS232 cable, a standard RS232 cable with the following pin configurations is to be used.
