Do not put hands into the chamber until the steam has been vented. 15) Some time is required for liquids to cool. Be sure to check that the temperature has dropped enough before unloading a liquid from the chamber or burns can result.

  • Page 11: Selection Of Language And Type Of Degree

AESi/23 SELECTION OF LANGUAGE AND TYPE OF DEGREE The control panel of the autoclave gives the possibility to display the steps of each cycle and messages in different languages, which are: SPANISH, CATALAN, ENGLISH and FRENCH. The default language of the autoclave is ENGLISH. Similarly the apparatus offers the possibility the change the type of degree to be used, which are: DEGREE CELSIUS and DEGREE FAHRENHEIT.

AESi/23 PURGE AND HEATING: Automatic air purge and heating phases. HEATING: Heating phases and pressure increasing. STERILIZING: Keeping the sterilization temperature during the programmed time. COOLING: Natural cooling period before the sterilization process and up to 95ºC. AGAR TEMPERAT.ON: Maintenance temperature at the end of the cycle (only AGAR mode) END OF PROCESS: Sterilization cycle ending message.

AESi/23 LOAD DISPOSAL Place the material to be sterilized directly or in baskets, in a way that you leave space to the steam to circulate freely. LOADING THE AUTOCLAVE: o Maintain the lid open during 15 minutes between sterilizations, in the case of using the autoclave repeatedly.
  • Page 17: Printer Mode

AESi/23 NOTE: For autoclaves equipped with the accessory reference: PT-2 (Heart probe), the required sterilization time (20 min.) begins just after the liquid reaches the required sterilization temperature. PRINTER MODE The microprocessor comes out from the factory with the configuration of “connection: PC”. To make possible printing a sterilization report, if the printer has a switch called “PRINT”, you just have to press it (only for table top printers “ITS”...
  • Page 18 AESi/23 In automatic printing mode, temperature data, step of the cycle, and also the time consumed by every step will be stated. To set automatic printing: 1.- Keep pressed key “TEMPERATURE” (4), during some seconds, the screen will show the message :”CONNECTION: PC”.
  • Page 19: Protected Programs (Info.)

AESi/23 PROTECTED PROGRAMS (Info.) The autoclave comes from the factory with 4 standard program of sterilization, memorized in programs P0 to P3, and they are protected, that means impossibility to change them. Otherwise, to have access and block or unblock the program of our choice, we have to follow the next steps: 1.

AESi/23 In this case it can be continued the sterilization while the probe 2 is changed, by editing the programs as SOL/LIQ-1 / AGAR-1. FAULT HEATING When a cycle of sterilization starts, the evolution of the temperature is controlled up to the selected temperature.
  • Page 21 AESi/23 In case of using the autoclave intensively it is recommended to shorten the maintenance intervals: To clean the gasket and the inside part of the lid DAILY To clean the external surfaces To clean the sterilization chamber and its respective WEEKLY accessories To disinfect the external surfaces...
  • Page 22 AESi/23 To clean the inside of the autoclave, turn the drain tap (No. 1), connecting a hose to the terminal of the drain (No. 13) and place a container. Clean the sterilization chamber, the cover- resistance grid, and the baskets (as well as the internal surfaces in general) with a clean cotton cloth soaked in water, to which a little neutral detergent may eventually be added.

  • Page 24 AESi/23 - MAINTENANCE OF THE SAFETY VALVE This operation is needed in order to make sure the valve will work properly for a long time. Important information the autoclave must be cold (room temperature) and without pressure the autoclave must be switched off Complying with above information, remove the four screws from the lid to access to the security valve at the back of the autoclave (1).

AESi/23 - CALIBRATION PORT To access the calibration port, remove the screws from the rear cover and remove the 1/2" cap (see image below, fig.3) with an allen key to have a free 1/2" hole. It is very important to use a watertight fitting to pass the corresponding probes as the port is in direct contact with the pressure vessel.
