    Introduction Thank you for choosing the “DaRcom” two diver portable communicator. X0479-24 is a fully functional device, that uses an autonomous power supply, a powerful class AB amplifier, and a waterproof, high-quality, mid-frequency speaker, providing crystal clear sound. The communicator can be used with one or two divers connected via a two-wire (Half Duplex) or four wire (Full Duplex) line.

    When used in damp environments, ensure the use of a residual current device (RCD) or ensure the X0479-24 battery is sufficiently charged and avoid using the charger. The communicator operates at a safe voltage and poses no risk of electric shock.

    "push to talk" function. This duplicates the "push to talk all divers" button. When headphones and a microphone are used, the main speaker (microphone) on the X0479-24 panel can be disabled using the "SPEAKER" switch.     PUSH TO TALK button is plugged into the yellow PUSH TO TALK jack on the X0479-24 communicator panel. In this configuration, the panel speaker must remain enabled. The external PUSH TO TALK button duplicates only the PUSH TO TALK ALL DIVERS button located in the TENDER section.

    Switch on the POWER and SPEAKER switches. If the communicator is functioning properly and the battery is charged, the LED will light up green. Communication priority on the X0479-24 is given to the divers. While DIVER1 and/or DIVER 2 are speaking, the TENDER should adjust the EARPHONES potentiometer in the TENDER section to the desired volume level (Fig.

    Maintaining a charge level above 50% is essential for the battery’s service life. It is not recommended to continue operating the communicator once the red LED indicator is illuminated!     X0479-24 electronics. The charger is designed to maintain the battery in a float charge mode after completing the main charging process. This allows the communicator X0479-24 to remain connected to the charger indefinitely without risk of damage.
