“Contact local building or fire officials about restrictions and installation inspection requirements in your area.” Your new HALO pellet grill is specially designed to make cooking easier while giving you finest performance with the most savory-flavored food. As with all grills and cooking appliances, any time you burn a material (whether it be wood, gas, or charcoal), organic gases are formed during the cooking process.

• CAUTION! • Regular care and maintenance is required to prolong the lifespan of your HALO pellet grill, If the pellet grill is stored outside during the rainy season or seasons of high humidity, HALO grill cover to ensure rainwater does not get into the hopper.
WARNING! DISPOSAL OF ASHES Ashes should be placed in a metal container with a tight-fitting lid. The closed container of ashes should be placed on a non-combustible floor or on the ground, well away from all combustible materials, pending final disposal. When ashes are disposed by burial in soil, or otherwise locally dispersed, they should be retained in a closed container until all cinders have thoroughly cooled. WARNING! Make sure to clean out the ash from the burn pot after each use to ensure the proper function of your pellet grill.
What do you need to know about creosote? Creosote, or soot, is a tar-like substance. When burning, it produces black smoke with a residue which is also black in color. Soot or creosote is formed when the appliance is operated incorrectly, such as: blockage of the burn pot, blockage of the combustion fan, failure to clean and maintain the burn area, or poor air-to-fuel combustion. It is dangerous to operate this appliance should the flame become dark, sooty, or if the burn pot is overfilled with pellets.

IMPORTANT Read and follow the information contained here before handling the rechargeable battery. Keep this document in a safe place. LITHIUM-ION BATTERY HAZARDS Lithium-ion battery fire hazards are associated with the high energy densities coupled with the flammable organic electrolyte. This creates new challenges for use, storage, and handling.

COOKING TEMPERATURE RANGES Temperature readouts on the controller may not exactly match the thermometer. All temperatures listed below are approximate and are affected by the following factors such as outside ambient temperature, wind, the quality of pellet fuel being used, the lid being opened, and the food quantity being cooked. HIGH TEMPERATURE (350-500°F)/(176-260ºC) This temperature range is used to sear meat at high heat, without any contact with flame.

Push control button once to turn the unit on, the screen will flash then turn to solid screen. Push the control button a second time to get to the function screen.
SHUTTING OFF YOUR PELLET GRILL When finished cooking, turn the temperature dial to 350°F/176°C with lid closed. Let your pellet grill run for 10 to 20 minutes to go through its normal cleaning method. If you have been preparing foods that are extra greasy, allow the pellet grill to burn-off for an extra 10 to 20 minutes. This will reduce the chance of causing a grease fire for the next start-up. To turn your unit OFF push and hold the control knob until the fan increases speed and the controller screen displays a 10-minute countdown.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE Important step is allowing the smoke chamber and cooking grid to self-clean by running the pellet grill at a high temperature for 10 to 20 minutes after each use. Follow these cleaning and maintenance tips to service your pellet grill: WARNING Make sure to clean out the ash from the burn pot after each use to ensure the proper function of your pellet grill.
Page 50
3. CLEANING THE GRILL COOKING GRID: CAUTION! Be careful not to burn yourself. Cleaning the grill grid works best while they are still warm. We recommend keeping a long-handled cleaning brush near the grill. After removing your food, give the grill grid a quick brushing. It takes only a minute, and it will be ready the next time you want to use the grill.
WARNING • A vacuum cleaner is the best way to remove ashes from the firepot, but this must be done with extreme care to avoid the risk of fire. • Recommend a utility-type, bagless vacuum cleaner with a metal collection canister would be best for this task. However, almost any vacuum cleaner will work safely if this procedure is properly followed.

• Sugar-based sauces are best applied near the end of cooking to prevent burning and flare-ups. • Leave open space between the foods and the extremities of the cooking chamber for proper heat flow. Food on a packed pellet grill will require more cooking time.
TROUBLESHOOTING TROUBLESHOOTING ou may see an error message display on your controller. Please refer to the following chart for potential issues and how to resolve them: ERROR CODE POTENTIAL ISSUES POSSIBLE SOLUTION Low Temperature: Temperature can't rise 20F for Remove pellets from the burn pot and make sure the hopper is full of pellets. more than 14 min after start Turn the controller off and then on again and restart your grill.

TROUBLESHOOTING Proper cleaning, maintenance and the use of clean, dry, quality fuel will prevent common operational problems. The following troubleshooting tips may be helpful when your HALO PRIME1100 Pellet Grill is not operating as it should. WARNING! Make sure to clean out the ash from the burn pot after each use to ensure the proper function of your pellet grill. Failure to clean out the ash from burn pot after each use may cause the pellets not to ignite or may cause a build-up of pellet in front of the auger tube potentially causing a burn back inside auger tube.
